And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except though bless me. And he said unto him, What is they name: and he said, Jacob. Posted : 13 Sep, 2011 06:56 PM Angel, I saw this but I was trying not be the first to answer, I hhad hoped that someone would bring thier spiritual insights into this toipc but I guess I also should have known better... since this is not about a false church doctrine:zzzz::nahnah: this is about real spirutal ;ife lessons from reading God's word. Anywayzzzz, Jaocb was DETERMINED to hold hold to the promise God had made to him therefore He fought (wrestled) with God (angel of the Lord) and held on until he received his blessing. Life lesson for us is that we must be as Jaocb no mattter our circumstanes or situation, or how long it takes, if you persist, and keeping doing as Jesus says, asking, keep seeking, and keep knocking, God will sooner or later open the door that no one cna close, and close those door that need to be closed that no one can open. But we must stay in prayer and be determined to hold on and wrestle (reason) with God in obedience until He blesses us with our prayer requests, and especially with thsoe things He has prmised us in our dreams or visions. PRAYER AND DETERMINATION ARE THE KEYS to hearing from God! Post Reply

Jesus was called as Angel in the Old Testament. How angels can bless? I did not see angels in the Bible who bless!!!! Only God blesses. Jacob was wrestling with Jesus in his prayers...talking to Him and asking for blessings!!! Post Reply
