BEWARE OF FALSE DOCTRINE AND "OTHER" GOSPELS

Sourced ~ TruthAbazeAuthor Unknownxo

I TIM 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils

-If ever we were in a time such as this....it is now! Notice there are "doctrines" of devils.

Jesus warned of these types of teachers. What would they be saying you ask?

Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 7:19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Notice a false teacher/prophet looks just like a sheep. But his message is not from God. A false teacher preaches a broad way to heaven, and Jesus preaches a narrow way.

Sadly Paul warned of a day when men would embrace such false teaching:

II Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

The truth will always reprove us of our sins, but it will also make us free!

When the grace of God is preached as a license to sin, then the grace of God has been turned into lasciviousness. Jude warned that this would happen.

Jude 1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Paul warned of preaching "another gospel":

Galatians 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 1:7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.1:10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

It doesn't matter how "ear-tickling" the message may be. If it doesn't line up with the volume of scripture, it is another gospel! It may not be popular, or pleasing to men, but it is better to please God than man!

Truth is Truth! It Does Not Change! There is Only One Gospel.

What Christ Gave to His Brideto His ChurchThe Full Deposit of Faithhas been Written Down in Sacred Scripture and Handed Down by Trust Worthy Elders (Bishops).

Would it not seem Reasonable that if Any Part of that Deposit of Faith that Christ Gave His Churchthat Christ Commanded His ChurchTo Teach! Would it Not Seem a Reasonable Conclusion that if Any Part were to Have Been Changedwere to have been Altered that a Vast OutCry would Ensue?

I would Think so! It wasnt like there were just two or three or ten or sixty men that Knew The Full Deposit of Faith? Christianity was Being Taught to THOUSANDS Monthly! You Would Think that any Changes would Have Been SCREAMED at and Held up to Scrutiny?

In Order for Any Change to have been madeit would have Taken ALL OF CHRISTIANITY to Agree on Changing Gods Word!

Christ PROMISED that His Church Would Remain INTACT. Christ Gave His Church The Holy Spirit to ENSURE that She would not Err in Her Teachings.

Sure...there have been Confusion and Misunderstandingbut The Holy Spirit would Quickly Correct Any and All Misunderstanding and Get The Church Back on Track.

If you Want The Truthread Scripture. If you Want to Know what Christ Taught His Churchread what The Church Fathers had to saywhat They Wrote Chastising Their Flocks. What They Wrote Concerning any Heresies of that Time in Church History.

The dark onethe great liaruses our Higher Facultiesour Intelligence to Deceive us. There are men (and women)many in high places (even Cardinals in The Catholic Church) that satan has his claws into. They do their worst to lead men and women astray.

There are many Passages in Scripture that Move Me and Give me God Bumpsbut there is One that Truly Scares me!

Matthew 7:21-23

New International Version (NIV)

True and False Disciples

21 Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles? 23 Then I will tell them plainly, I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!

, I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!

My Brothers and Sistersbe very Careful that you are Not One of those that will Hear those Words From Jesus.

**THE NEW COVENANT WORDS OF JESUS IN THE 4 GOSPELS AND THE NT**

John 14:23,24: Jesus says, If anyone loves Me, he:rolleyes: will *OBEY MY TEACHING. My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him! He who does not love Me will not obey My teaching. These words you hear are not My own; they belong to the Father who sent Me.

Deuteronomy 18:17-19: The Lord said to Moses, I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brothers. I will put My Words in His mouth, and He will tell them *EVERYTHING I command Him. If anyone does not listen to My Words that the Prophet speaks in My Name, I Myself will call him to account!

Matthew 4:4: Jesus says, Man does not live on bread alone, but on *EVERY WORD* that comes from the mouth of God!

John 14:25,26: Jesus says, The Holy Spirit..will remind you of *EVERYTHING I have said to you!!

John 8:31: Jesus says, If you hold to My teaching, you are really My disciples. Then you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.

Matthew 28:18-20: Jesus says, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations...teaching them to OBEY EVERYTHING I commanded you!

Matthew 10:26: Jesus says, What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the house tops!!

I John 2:3-5: We know that we have come to know Him {Jesus} if we obey His commands. The man who says, I know Him, but does not do what He commands is a liar, and the Truth is not in him. But if anyone OBEYS HIS WORD, God's love is truly made complete in Him. This is how we know we are in Him!

Colossians 3:16: Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom!

Matthew 7:24,26: Jesus says, Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the Rock...But everyone who hears these Words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on the sand...and it fell with a great crash!

Luke 8:21: Jesus says, My mother and brothers are those who hear God's Word and put it into practice!

Luke 11:27,28: a woman said to Jesus, Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed You. Jesus replied, Blessed rather are those who hear the Word of God and *OBEY IT*!

John 8:51: Jesus says, I tell you the Truth, if anyone keeps My Word, he will never see death!

John 17:6,17: Jesus says, I have revealed you to those you gave Me out of the world. They were yours, you gave them to Me and they have *OBEYED YOUR WORD!...Sanctify them by the Truth, your Word is Truth!

2 Timothy 2:15: Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the Word of Truth!

Matthew 24:35: Jesus says, Heaven and earth will pass away, but My Words will *NEVER pass away!

John 6:63: Jesus says, The Words I have spoken to you are Spirit and they are Life!"

James 1:22,25: Do not merely listen to the Word, and so deceive yourselves. *DO WHAT IT SAYS*....The man who looks intently into the perfect Word that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing ithe will blessed in what he does!

Mark 8:38: Jesus says, If anyone is ashamed of Me and My Words...the Son of man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His Father's glory with all His angels.

John 12:48: Jesus says, There is a Judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept My Words; that very Word which I spoke will condemn him at the Last Day!

Matthew 13:18-23: Jesus says, Listen to what the parable of the sower means: {Luke 8:11 adds The seed is the Word of God} When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the seed along the path. The one who received the seed that fell on rocky places is the man who hears the Word and at once receives it with joy. But since he has no root, he lasts only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the Word, he quickly falls away. The one who received the seed that fell among the thorns is the man who hears the Word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke it, making it unfruitful. But the one:rolleyes: who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the Word and *UNDERSTANDS IT {Mk 4:20 adds Accepts it & Luke 8:15 adds Retains it} He produces a crop, yielding a hundred {100}, sixty {60} or thrity {30} times what was sown.
