Are you in Christ or do you live in sins?!

In my study of the New Testament, Ive noticed the phrase, in Christ mentioned many times. My question is, What does it mean to be in Christ?

As you stated, the phrase in Christ appears multiple times within the pages of the New Testament. The biblical meaning of this phrase can be found in Ephesians 2:11-22, where the apostle Paul points out the fact that in Christ, both Jew and Gentile have been reconciled (brought back or reestablished) into a right relationship with God through the blood of Christ (see Ephesians 2:13-16, and note the word reconcile in Ephesians 2:16). Also note the use of this same word in the context of Romans 5:8-11, Colossians 1:18-22, and 2 Corinthians 5:18-19).

Focusing on this right relationship to God in Christ, various spiritual connotations are attached to this phrase, depending upon the context in which the phrase is found. The following are just a few of the connotations surrounding this phrase:

There is no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1).

Spiritual life or living can be only found in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:2).

Folks are saved in Christ (Ephesians 2:12-13).

We are sanctified in Christs body or the church in Christ Jesus (1 Corinthians 1:1-2)

We become a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).

We are made the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21).

All spiritual blessings are found only in Christ (Ephesians 1:3).

We are one body in Christ (Romans 12:5).

We are wise in Christ (1 Corinthians 4:10).

We are begotten through the gospel in Christ (1 Corinthians 4:15).

We can truly rejoice in Christ (1 Corinthians 15:31 KJV).

God establishes us with other brethren in Christ (2 Corinthians 1:21).

The Old Testament veil is done away in Christ (2 Corinthians 3:14).

The simplicity of the gospel is in Christ (2 Corinthians 11:3-4).

We have liberty in Christ Jesus (Gal. 2:4).

We are the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus (Gal. 3:26).

By obeying our Lord in baptism, we are all one in Christ Jesus (Gal. 3:28).

The faithful are in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 1:1).

God has raised us up and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:6; cf. Romans 6:4; Titus 3:5-7).

We are Gods workmanship created in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:10).

In Christ Jesus, the Gentiles were made near by the blood of Christ (Ephesians 2:13).

Gods eternal purpose is found in Christ Jesus our Lord (Ephesians 3:11).

Every saint is in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:21).

Our faith is in Christ Jesus (Colossians 1:4).

Pauls desire was to present every man perfect in Christ Jesus (Colossians 1:28).

The truth is in Christ (1 Timothy 2:7).

The promise of life is in Christ Jesus (2 Timothy 1:1).

Gods purpose and grace was given to us in Christ Jesus (2 Timothy 1:9).

Faith and love is in Christ Jesus (2 Timothy 1:13).

Grace is in Christ Jesus (2 Timothy 2:1).

Salvation is in Christ Jesus (2 Timothy 2:10; 2 Timothy 3:15).

Our manner of life and living should be in Christ (1 Peter 3:16).

WHO AM I? WHAT AM I?

IN CHRIST...

I am a new creature (2 Cor. 5:17; cf. Gal. 5:6; 6:15; Eph. 2:10).

I am a saint (1 Cor. 1:2).

I am a part of His Church (Eph. 2:21-22).

I am a temple for God's Spirit (Eph. 2:22).

I am in the eternal plan of God (Eph. 1:4; 2 Tim. 1:9).

I am complete and filled full with the fullness of Christ (Col. 2:9; and compare Col. 1:19).

I am enriched (1 Cor. 1:5).

I am accepted because God's favor has been poured out upon me (Eph. 1:6).

I am light (Eph. 5:8).

I am secure in the love of God (Rom. 8:38-39).

I am established, rooted and built up (2 Cor. 1:21; Col. 2:7).

I am circumcised inwardly (Col. 2:11).

I am near to the heart of God (Eph. 2:13).

MY RESPONSIBILITY IN LIGHT OF THESE FACTS:

By faith I must reckon that it is so! I must see myself as God sees me!

WHAT DO I HAVE? WHAT DO I POSSESS?

IN CHRIST...

I have every spiritual blessing (Eph. 1:3).

I have eternal life, an eternal relationship with God (1 John 5:11; 1 Cor. 15:22 and Romans 6:23 where "through" could be translated "in").

I have a glorious salvation (2 Tim. 2:10).

I have a rich inheritance (Eph. 1:4; cf. 1 Pet. 1:4; Rom. 8:17).

I have a glorious future (Eph. 1:4-5).

I have a heavenly positionseated with Him! (Eph. 2:6).

I have a high calling (Phil. 3:14).

I have the hope of eternal glory (1 Pet. 5:10 where "by" = "in").

I have God's perfect righteousness (2 Cor. 5:21; 1 Cor. 1:30; 6:11).

I have sanctification or holiness (1 Cor. 1:2; 1:30; 6:11).

I have God's wisdom (1 Cor. 1:30; cf. Col. 2:3 and 1 Cor. 2:16).

I have redemption or freedom from bondage (Eph. 1:7; Col. 1:14; Rom. 3:24; 1 Cor. 1:30).

I have security (Rom. 8:1).

I have complete forgiveness (Eph. 1:7; Col. 1:14; 1 Cor. 6:11--"washed").

PRACTICAL MATTERS

IN CHRIST...

I walk and live (Col. 2:6).

I stand fast and firm (Phil. 4:1).

I have constant victory (2 Cor. 2:14).

I am fruitful (1 Cor. 15:58; Eph. 2:10).

I can do all things (Phil. 4:13).

I can draw near to God (Eph. 2:13,18).

I have all that I need; every need is supplied (Phil. 4:19 "by"="in").

I can rejoice always (Phil. 4:4; 1 Pet. 1:8).

I have a purifying hope (1 John 3:3).

I am strong (2 Tim. 2:1; Eph. 6:10).

I am faithful (Eph. 1:1).

I have faith and love (1 Tim. 1:13).

I can be mature (Col. 1:28).

We can plainly see that we need to be in Christ Jesus in order to be spiritually blessed and be reconciled or to be brought back into a right relationship with our heavenly Father.

How? Through our FAITH in the God Jesus and obedience to the commands of God/godly life.

Behold now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2).

Was Jesus the God?

The God of Israel and Christians said in the Holy Bible about Himself that He is ONE and His name is ONE.

And the LORD shall be King over all the earth.

In that day it shall be

 The LORD is one,

And His name one.

Zechariah 14:9

Lets listen to the Son of God.

Jesus said:

John 14

1 Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Fathers house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.

5 Thomas said to Him, Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?

6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

7 If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also;

and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.

8 Philip said to Him, Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.

9 Jesus said to him, Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, Show us the Father? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. 11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.

So, here Jesus said that He is God.

If you want to see God, you could see God looking at Jesus.

God lived in the human body of Jesus.

How to understand that: I am in the Father and the Father in Me.

Jesus is trying here to communicate us one of the mysteries. He is trying to explain people His Nature/Essence. He is saying that He is God and the Word of God.

Jesus said here that God dwelt in Him.

Literally?

Yes.

In His human body.

Moreover, Jesus said that He is in the Father.

Jesus said here about His nature again:

Jesus is the Word of God in the Holy Bible.

Let me remind you that we were created in Gods image.

My words are products of my brain activity.

I can even say that I am a product of my brain.

My words are my thoughts.

My words and my thoughts are products of my brain and soul.

So, it is quite reasonable what Jesus said that He was the Word of God and God at the same time.

So, everything, what we know in the universe, decomposes.

One question: Can atoms be divided too?

The answer: Yes.

Let me tell you what quantum mechanics says:

Atoms can be divided into protons, neutrons and electrons. In turn, each of these particles is made up of smaller theoretical particles called quarks. The atom gets its name from the Greek word atomos which is usually translated as "indivisible", though thanks to the advent of quantum mechanics, we now know that the atom is indeed divisible. So, both protons and neutrons are composed of elementary particles called quarks. Quark is one of the two basic constituents of matter and the other being the lepton.

Indeed, we see that God is ONE. He is God the Father, the Son of God and the Holy Spirit. God told to the prophet Isaiah that there is no other God except the God of Israel:

There Is No Other God

Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel,

And his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts:

 I am the First and I am the Last;

Besides Me there is no God.

And who can proclaim as I do?

Then let him declare it and set it in order for Me,

Since I appointed the ancient people.

And the things that are coming and shall come,

Let them show these to them.

Do not fear, nor be afraid;

Have I not told you from that time, and declared it?

You are My witnesses.

Is there a God besides Me?

Indeed there is no other Rock;

I know not one.

Isaiah 44:6-8

God also said that Jesus is God.

And His name is the First and the Last.

It means that Jesus is God and equal to His Father in everything and even in names.

Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come,

and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth.

To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, says the Lord,

who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.

Revelation 1:4-8

Revelation 1

Introduction and Benediction

1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servantsthings which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, 2 who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw. 3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.

Greeting the Seven Churches

4 John, to the seven churches which are in Asia:

Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, 5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth.

To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, 6 and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

7 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.

8 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, says the Lord,

who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.

Vision of the Son of Man

9 I, John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. 10 I was in the Spirit on the Lords Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet, 11 saying, I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, and, What you see, write in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia: to Ephesus, to Smyrna, to Pergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis, to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.

12 Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands, 13 and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. 14 His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire; 15 His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters; 16 He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength. 17 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. 18 I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death. 19 Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after this. 20 The mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands which you saw are the seven churches.

In Christ is properly translate the anointed one and his anointing, but it is relative to those that have received the holy spirit.

Thank you sisters.

I have just chosen a few quotes from my recent message to Muslims to share with you.

But may be you would like to read the complete message.

Here I will post it for you. may be it will be useful for you too:

Brothers,

The God of Israel and Christians said in the Holy Bible about Himself that He is ONE and His name is ONE.

And the LORD shall be King over all the earth.

In that day it shall be

 The LORD is one,

And His name one.

Zechariah 14:9

How is it possible that His Son is God too? How is it possible that the Holy Spirit is God? Everything, what we know in the universe, decomposes.

Everything what we consider as one entity could be divided within.

Let me illustrate you what I said:

I am ONE.

Yes?

Yes and NO.

Why?

I am one being but at the same time I am three (body, soul and spirit).

When my body will die, my soul will be judged by God for my sins/crimes against God and people.

Why I am THREE?

Because God created people in His Image. He said it in the Holy Torah.

The Arab nation is ONE.

Yes?

Yes and NO.

There are Millions of Arabs within the Arab nation.

Every group of objects could be divided.

Everything, what is created, is a group of objects/elements.

So, almost everything what we know can be sub-divided.

But why?

Because God created the universe this way.

Did God create the universe in His Image?

We do not know the answer to this question.

What we only know is that people were created in Gods Image.

Moreover, the Holy Scripture says that the Son of God created the universe.

He is the Word of God.

Are my words also a part of me?

The law says: YES.

Thats why for my words I utter, I could be judged in the court or justified.

The law and people consider my words as Me.

The same way, God says that the Son of God is the Word of God.

And the Word of God is God.

It is reasonable.

But how to understand that?

7 If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also;

and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.

Jesus is the Word of God/Kalimat-Ullah in the Holy Bible and Quran.

So, both protons and neutrons are composed of elementary particles called quarks. Quark is one of the two basic constituents of matter and the other being the lepton.

Lets listen to the conversation of our brother Sazie Johnson with Walid Saifaddin Ashour:

Hello Walid,

You sent be Bible verses that state God is one. There is absolutely no question that God is one. But here is the question: what is one? Does one mean God is one unto Himself and within Himself?

We must let God answer the question if the word one mean God is one unto Himself and within Himself: God speaks in Isaiah 44:6: Thus said the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

How many do you count within the one God? So far I count two: (1) the LORD the King of Israel, and (2) his redeemer the LORD of hosts.

Who is the LORD the King of Israel? God the Father is the LORD the King of Israel. Who is the Redeemer the Lord of hosts? Jesus Christ is the Redeemer of the world. Elsewhere the Spirit of God is also God. Job 33:4 reads, The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.

Again the question still stand: What does one means when you say God is one?

Philosophers tell us one cannot assume indivisibility (cannot be divided) without first assuming divisibility (can be divided). That means you cannot say such a thing as cannot be divided about something that has no division within. That is why when Muslims claim that the word one in Quran 112:1 means Allah cannot be divided, they first assumed that Allah has division within himself a division that is tightly woven together that it cannot be divided.

WHAT IS ONE

By: Sazie Johnson

Quran 112:1 Say he is Allah, the one and only.

Since the word one is at the center of the Islamic faith, Muslims must explain to us what it means. What is one? What does the word one mean when they say, Allah is one and only? We do understand what is meant by the word only. The word only in the verse states that Allah is a single spirit entity unto himself and is therefore excluded from all other spirit entities. This makes Allah a one spirit entity unto himself.

But what do Muslims mean by the word one? Do they mean one as in one single glass which is made out of thousands and thousands of fine grain of heated sand? In that case the word one means Allah is one unto himself, but not within itself, because within the one glass are of thousands and thousands of fine grain of heated sand.

The word one is at the central cord of the Islamic faith. What do Muslims mean by the word one? If this question is not answered, another question will arise: If you cannot explain the word one which is at the central cord of the Islamic faith, why do they believe it, and why do they kill people for it?

What is one? What does it mean? If Muslims claim that Allah is like nothing else, why do they insist Allah is something like merciful and compassionate? Are merciful and compassionate considered nothing else? Surely a Muslim does want Allah to be something instead of nothing, because the greatest desire of every man is for his god to be something instead of nothing.

Again, Muslims must explain to us what the word one means when they say, Allah is one. This is the central core of the Islam faith which is proclaimed by Muslims to destroy the Holy Trinity. If Muslims must replace the Holy Trinity with the creed: Allah is one, then They must tell us what they mean by the word one.

What is one?

One well-known Islamic scholar and theologian explained the word one this way: He said, The word one means the total sum of powers. He is right. He is absolutely right. That is good. That is very good. The word one means the total sum of powers. The only problems is that he was defining or describing the Holy Trinity which is the Total sum of powers the total sum of three powers to be exact, or three natural powers within that which we called God. You cannot have a total sum without first having a division. Is Allah a division within himself?

Again the question is what is one? If you as a Muslim cannot explain it, why do you believe it? If you do not know what it is, why do you kill people for it?

What is one? Tell us what it means.

Summary: Brothers, today we have been meditating on the essence of God and the Holy words of God said in the Holy Bible.

 I am the First and I am the Last;

Besides Me there is no God.

And who can proclaim as I do?

Is there a God besides Me?

Indeed there is no other Rock;

I know not one.

Isaiah 44:6-8

God also said that Jesus is God.

And His name is the First and the Last.

It means that Jesus is God and equal to His Father in everything and even in names.
