Obedience in the little things...

Hi,

I want to share with you all what I just learned about obedience.

I have been a child of God for 2 1/2 years. For the first 6 months into my Christianity I was "on fire" for the Lord and all he was teaching me. He was leading me in scripture every day and I followed! Then one day He directed me to began reading from the beginning of the Bible in Genesis and to continue until other wise directed. I did not listen and I studied where I wanted to in the scriptures. I didn't know what was going on but, from that moment on my life slowly spun out of control. Every area in my life started to get out of whack. Now, I know that I can't do anything apart from the Lord and why I even tried was foolish. I finally gave in last week and read Jeremiah 33, 3 and prayed. Then, the Lord showed me all of this... that I had not obeyed Him in scripture reading and that I needed to read where he told me to be able to handle the things going on in my life.

I'm reading in Genesis now and in just a few days after things began to get back on track. Now, I can see that disobeying one simple thing can cause "so much destruction" in our lives.

Thank God for our Lord Jesus Christ,

Paul
