Prosperity is not Evil, the fear of it is the evil.

The term prosperity has been mentioned lately on the forum and then the fear manifest from every direction, and the fear is satan's twisted faith about any bible topic.
You can hear it in what most people say they are repeating what they heard someone say in unbelief and the begins the downward spiral.
Ant fear of a bible topic starts with a lack of knowledge of Jesus and the love of God. man's redemption bought and paid for was to put man back to the place he was before sin, Yes the father own the earth and all there in but it seems some forgot he gave it to Adam and Eve.
Prosperity is a part of man's inheritance in Christ and it is a part of every aspect of life upon the earth, you can not find the perfect will of God on any topic unless you renew your mind and then believe with your heart, you cannot believe God with your mind.
Prosperity is a part of this word salvation, which is the sum total of man's blessing when he enters the family of God. The father expects his children to walk in the light of his word and excel in every area of life.
I don't say any of this arrogantly but i was not two month's old in the lord and I heard some one teaching on prosperity and I threw a fit of carnality, but the lord simply spoke to me and said I want you to go back and listen to what was said. After listening me and him sat down with the bible and looked up the word prosper and went from there, and in just a few moments these words came out of my mouth wow you want us to proper in every area of your life.
The father's way of prospering is not like this world in any way but it seems although some think it is that way, when you hear christian's say the prosperity movement you know immediately they do not know the will of God concerning prosperity.
I encourage all to sit down with the lord and have a conversation with him about the blessing of prosperity.
He know s all about it and it was his joy to provide it for all.
The church is under the blessing of Abraham as described in the 28 th chapter of deut.
The key is as it is stated in Jn 3:2: 2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
In order for your soul to prosper concerning health and wealth it has to be renewed to the word of God.
If you will allow the lord to prosper you he would then be able to use you to bless someone in the near future.
Prosperity is not Evil, the fear of it is the evil.

PJ, you are on the mark, they lack faith to believe, they are fearful, they lie about not wishing they had more than what they have, and they deny God's truth in His prmises. Forget them, if God has prosepred you, keep doing what youre are doing and don;t worry about these who lack faith and wish they had more than what they have, yet think they are being good Christians and are not asking God for more blessings and sucess in their lives... God ain't impress with them this too is sin... so they still are sinning by desiring and the fear, lack of faith to believe and lying about not having needs or desiring more blessing from the Lord...
I like what Paul says when he was collecting money for the churches and the poor.
2 Corinthians 9:1 There is no need for me to write to you about this service to the Lords people. 2 For I know your eagerness to help, and I have been boasting about it to the Macedonians, telling them that since last year you in Achaia were ready to give; and your enthusiasm has stirred most of them to action. 3 But I am sending the brothers in order that our boasting about you in this matter should not prove hollow, but that you may be ready, as I said you would be. 4 For if any Macedonians come with me and find you unprepared, wenot to say anything about youwould be ashamed of having been so confident. 5 So I thought it necessary to urge the brothers to visit you in advance and finish the arrangements for the generous gift you had promised. Then it will be ready as a generous gift, not as one grudgingly given.
Generosity Encouraged
6. Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 9 As it is written: They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever.
10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.
12 This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lords people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. 13 Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. 14 And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. 15 Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!

HEAVENLY TREASURES AND ETERNAL REWARDS:
Ephesians 4:28: "Work so that you may have something to share with those in need!"
James 4:3: When you ask you do not receive, because you ask with the wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures:devil:!"
In the old covenant God's commandments were only preached to Jews but in the New Covenant Jesus commands us to preach to every nation in the world teaching them to obey *EVERYTHING* He commanded and everything would also include all of the approximately 400 NT commandments also taught in Acts to Revelation {See 2 Timothy 3-16 to 4:2.}
Jesus also eliminated the earthly rewards for faithful service and commanded us to sell our possessions and give to the poor and get *TREASURES IN HEAVEN* and **THEN** come follow Him.
Luke 12:33,34: Jesus says, Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will not be exhausted....For where your treasure is there your heart will be also.
Matthew 20:20-24: All these {Commandments} I have kept, the young man said. What do I still lack? Jesus answered, If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. **THEN** come, follow Me. When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth. Then Jesus says, It is hard for a rich man to enter the *KINGDOM OF HEAVEN*. It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to enter the *KINGDOM OF GOD*.
Luke 6:20: Jesus says Blessed are you who are *POOR*, for *YOURS* is the *KINGDOM OF GOD*.
2 Corinthians 6:4-10: As servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance, in troubles, hardships and distresses, in beatings, imprisonments; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love, in truthful speech and in the power of God; genuine, yet regarded as impostors; dying, and yet we live on; beaten and yet not killed; *POOR*, yet making many rich; *HAVING NOTHING*; and yet possessing everything.
I Timothy 6:5-10: There are men of corrupt mind:devil:, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain. But godliness with contentment is great gain....If we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
Unfortunately there are many who teach the Satanic Prosperity Gospel such as Joel Osteen, Benny Hinn and Kenneth Copeland who teach the exact opposite of what Jesus commanded in His New Covenant.
John 12:48: Jesus says, "There is a Judge for the one who does not accept My Words; that very Word which I spoke will condemn him at the Last Day."
I John 2:3-5: " We know that we have come to know Him {Jesus} *IF* we obey His commands. The man who says, "I know Him," but does not do what He commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But if anyone obeys His Word, God's love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in Him!!"
The early saints followed the commands of Jesus and the NT Covenant:
Acts 2:44,45: "*ALL* the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need." Acts 4:32: "*ALL* the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had."

Bible also tells us if you DON'T WORK , YOU DON'T EAT.
WE ARE ALSO TOLD THAT all those in the book of Acts who SOLD THEIR POSSESSIONS AHD aMORE THAN ENOUGH TO SHARE WITH OTHERS, they sold land and many other things to SHARE NOT ONLY WITH THE POOR BUT GIVE TO THE APOSTLES, THIS WAS GOD'S WAY OF MAKING THINS WORK out for the apostles to meet their needs... the people who dols their possesssions alid all thier money at the feet of the apsotles, and the apsotles shared and divided what the people had brought to them amonst themsleves and with the poor people of the city!
Richard, if you enjoy your living conditions and what you have, as Paul says STOP judging and condemning others for what they have and what they seek from God... that's called hindering the faith of others based on what you have or don't have! and that's a SIN!...
If you took a vow to be in poverty or to not have much and you can meet your financial obligations each month and have something left over to help the poor, GREAT! But there are those who don't have much to even pay their bills or meet their own needs and need to be boldly come nefore the throne of grace in asking God for those things they have need of, asking God for a better job, and better living conditions, and for the blessings God has promise them. God teaches us that God will not withhold no good things from those who ASK OF HIM... so what's your problem?... something deep inside of you that keep you in spiritual ignorance and bondage, and you think others are suppose to be like you and do without... stop trying to project and reflect your spiritual issues on others due to your lack of faith to believe in ALL OF GOD'S WORD...
Jesus even told Peter that everyone who forsakes houses and ladn or children, or wife or husband or whatever for the sake of the gospel, HE WOULD RESTORE it back to them on thjis earht and they will also receive rewards when they get to heaven... eternal life. STOP DENYING GOD'S WORD OF TRUTH... THAT'S ALSO SIN! Youc an't twist the word to make it what YOU THINK it should be, IT AIN'T YOUR WORD! No matter what you denounce or have to say...
You have need to spiritually understand God's word, so WHY ARE YOU SEEKING, ASKING, AND KNOCKING ON HEAVEN'S DOOR making your request known to God to bless you to PROSPER IN HIS HOLY WORD SO THAT YOU MIGHT BETTER MINISTER HIS TRUTH????

Well it manifests as hatred, and he that hates his brother is a murderer, that is the poverty spirit again sticking his head up, to take a vow of poverty is to accept the baggage of satan.

Last word for me on this subject matter.
PJ, you know, it just came to mind that Prosperity is EVIL... because only those who have faith to believe recive as a blesinngs from the Lord are POSPEROUS!
And those who DO NOT HAVE GOD'S BLESSINGS OF BEING PROSPEROUS, OR HAVING PROSPERITY, AND ARE NOT PROSPERING IN THEIR LIFE SPIRITUALLY, FINANCIALLY OR EMOTIONALLY OR MENTALLY, OR HEALTH WISE, they are ANGRYand EVIL BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT RECEIVING THE BLESINGS OF PROSPERITY and have many wants and needs from God BUT theur are fearful pridefull, and too spiritually ignorant to ASK OF HIM.
SO YES, PROSPERITY is EVUIL TO HOSE WHO DO NOT HAVE FAITH TO BELIEVE... CUZ, they don't have it and are jealous of those who do... THE HAVE NOT ARE JUEALISU OF THE HAVE'S.. plain and simlle...
If God meant for every Christian to be poor, then who is going to help the real poor of the world?:zzzz:

ET states that:
"Jesus even told Peter that everyone who forsakes houses and land or children, or wife or husband or whatever for the sake of the gospel, HE WOULD RESTORE it back to them on thjs earth {??} and they will also receive rewards when they get to heaven... eternal life. STOP DENYING GOD'S WORD OF TRUTH... THAT'S ALSO SIN! You can't twist the word to make it what YOU THINK it should be, IT AIN'T YOUR WORD! No matter what you denounce or have to say..."
Matthew 19:27-30: Peter said to Jesus, We have left **EVERYTHING** to follow you! What then will there be for us? Jesus says, I tell you the Truth, at the renewal of all things, **WHEN** the Son of Man sits on His glorious throne, you who have followed Me {Including Paul}will also sit on 12 thrones...And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or fields for My sake will receive 100 times as much and will inherit eternal life. But many who are first {like Osteen & his followers} will be last, and many who are last {In this life} will be first. And there will be plenty of room for 100 houses and 100 fields in the New Jerusalem since it will be over 1377 miles long and wide and high.
Those who teach Satan's Prosperity Gospel:devil: such as Joel Osteen Benny Hinn and ET wrongly claim that those who have left houses for the gospel will receive 100 houses on earth rather than in Heaven which is of course a ridiculous Satanic interpretation.
Matthew 16:27: Jesus says, "For the Son of Man is going to come in His Father's glory with His angels, and **THEN** He will reward each person according to what he has done!"
Revelation 22:12: Jesus says, "Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is **WITH ME**, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done!!"

Pj says in his article above. "Yes the father own the earth and all there in but it seems some forgot he gave it to Adam and Eve."
This is your first problem you have no clue who God is. God created heaven and earth and every thing in it. He is the Sovereign, Holy, Almighty, God that rules everything. He gave earth and the beast to man to manage it, he still rules. You need to study the bible not finney, not olsteen, or any other man you follow as a god to you.
Christ Governs All Things as well as the Father
For the first: That Christ the Son of God doth govern
all things as well as God the Father, is proved by reason,
example, and authority.
By Reason
If God by His wisdom made the world: that is, if that
the eternal wisdom of God, which is His Word, the everlasting Son of God, was present with God, when He
made the world: He is also with Him in governing the
world: but He was with God when He made the world,
therefore He is with Him governing of it.
The equity of the first proposition is grounded upon
most strong reason. For as God created the world by His
wisdom, so it is not to be believed that God governeth
the world without His wisdom, otherwise He should
govern by chance. The second proposition is proved by
the testimony of the apostles: By whom also He made
the worlds (Heb 1:2).
By Example
And Joseph took them both, Ephraim in his right
hand toward Israels left hand, and Manasseh in his left 5
hand toward Israels right hand, and brought them near
unto him. And Israel stretched out his right hand, and
laid it upon Ephraims head, who was the younger, and
his left hand upon Manassehs head, guiding his hands
wittingly; for Manasseh was the firstborn. And he
blessed Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers
Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which fed me all
my life long unto this day (Gen 48:13-15).
In which words Jacob acknowledgeth Gods providence to stretch to particular men, even to himself. Then
it followeth as verse 16: The Angel which redeemed me
from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named
on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac;
and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the
earth. In these words the holy patriarch Jacob giveth
that particular providence to the angel, which in the former verse he had given to God. And that by the name of
angel we understandeth no creature is hereby proved, in
that he affirmeth, that this Angel had power to bless;
saying to him, Bless the children. He then is the Angel
who Jacob was wont to call, the angel of the Lord; that
is, the Son of God. Therefore, in this place Jacob attributeth a power over all things and persons, to the Angel;
that is, the Son of God, as well as to God the Father.
By Authority
My Father worketh hitherto, and I work (Joh 5:17).
This work that Christ speaketh of, is not to be understood of the creation only, but also of the governing of
all things created. For this particle hitherto showeth that
He meant not only that first work of His in creating all
things with His Father, but also another work, which He
daily exerciseth, which cannot be understood of any
other than of governing all things with His Father.6
But here we must observe this rule: that the works of
the Trinity are undivided. Therefore, that which is the
Fathers work is the work also of the Son and of the
Holy Ghost. That the Son of God doeth the same works
that the Father doeth, is already proved. The same is to
be affirmed also of the Holy Ghost, by the warrant of
Gods Word, as by that ye read in Psalm 139: Whither
shall I flee from Thy presence? If I ascend up into
heaven, Thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold,
Thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and
dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; even there shall
Thy hand lead me, and Thy right hand shall hold me
(vv. 7-10). Thus is the first point briefly proved, that
Christ the Son of God, and the Holy Ghost, do govern all
things as well as God the Father. Now to the second, that
God by His providence governeth all and every thing.
Erroneous Philosophies
There are very many that can willingly grant, that God
by His providence governeth all things in general, but
that every particular thing is ruled by the same, they
deny. With these men, therefore, I mind to deal somewhat large, though not so learnedly, as the cause
requireth (and who is able to handle it worthily?).
Philosophers have in this point had sundry opinions:
Epicurus
2
said, That all things were ruled by chance
and fortune, and that God lived idly, and at ease in the
heavens, which opinion, as impious,
3
all men in words
2
Epicurus Greek philosopher, 341?-270 B.C., who held that the
goal of man should be a life of calm pleasure governed by
morality.
3
impious lacking reverence for God. 7
condemn, and yet so we live that our lives are evident
proofs against us, that in heart and soul we embrace it.
For surely if we thought any better of God than Epicurus did, we would not walk so directly in Epicurus paths
as we do, or live so licentiously
4
as though God regarded
us not.
The Peripatetics
5
and other sort of philosophers
broached another opinion, teaching that those things
which are above the heavens, are moved, guided and
governed by God Himself; but those things that are under the circle of the moon are governed partly by chance
and fortune, partly by the counsels and devises of men,
and partly by a brutish or senseless force of nature.
There is a third opinion of the Stoics,
6
which is that all
things are ruled by fate or destiny, that is by a secret order and link of causes; in which chain all things are so
surely tied, that both God Himself and man are
straighted within those bounds. This was a very dainty
opinion in the judgment of the poets, who, to excuse the
weakness of their god, fained that he wept because he
was so hindered by the force of destiny that he could not
set Sarpedon
7
at liberty.
4
licentious disregarding accepted rules and standards.
5
peripatetic a follower of Aristotle, taken from the Greek for to
walk about, referring to Aristotles way of teaching as he
walked about the Lyceum.
6
Stoics a Greek school of philosophy founded by Zeno in 308
B.C., which held that all things are governed by unvarying
natural laws, and that the wise man should follow virtue
alone, obtained through reason.
7
Sarpedon in Greek mythology, a son of Zeus who was killed in
the Trojan War. 8
The fourth opinion is Platos,
8
who granted that God
by His providence ruleth all things in general, which afterward God committed to petty gods, half-gods, and
devils, who have the charge and care of particular things.
From these four opinions spring all other, whatsoever,
touching Gods providence; and there is no one opinion,
which may not easily be reduced to one of these.
But some (even Christians) fleeing from one danger
run into another; and for that they dare not deny that
God by His providence ruleth all things, yet will they not
grant, that by it, He governeth every particular thing, lest
they should thereby be driven (as they think) to some
absurdities. Thus, whilst they would avoid absurdity,
they commit impiety, and fall away from the truth most
dangerously. But far be this from our heart (right worshipful) and that it may never possess you. Avoid the
cause that worketh it in them, which is ignorance of the
Word of God; and because God in great mercy hath kindled in your heart a desire of knowledge, quench not that
godly desire in you, but pursue after knowledge hotly
with hearty and fervent prayer, and you shall find it. And
if you shall find it, you shall certainly know, that there
will no absurdity be enforced upon any doctrine
grounded upon Gods Word, and that you need not fear
this doctrine as they do.
I will first discourse briefly of the truth of it, and will
prove, that God governeth by His providence all things
generally, and every particular thing particularly. Then
will I answer to all those chief objections which are
brought against it, and by which some vain men think to
Prosperity is not Evil, the fear of it is the evil.

DLJ, you have totally missed what PJ said in his comment... you need to re-read what he said. He stated that MANY (meaning people) HAVE FORGOTTEN that God owns everything BUT HE GAVE IT OVER TO ADAM AND EVE (MAN) TO HAVE DOMINION over everything He created, and man is to go and be prosperous in the land and with everything GOd has given him/her.
What he has stated ain't got one thing to do with the article you have posted... RE-DEAD PJ'S COMMENT with an open MIND and narrow mindedness...
