No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.

Luke 6:43-45 NIV

John 15:5,8,16: Jesus says, If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much FRUIT....This is to My Father's Glory, that you bear much FRUIT, showing yourself to be My disciple....You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear FRUITFRUIT that will last.

Philippians 1:9-11: This is my prayer...that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the Day of Christ, filled with the FRUIT of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ.:applause::angel::peace:

When you look at this passage as it relates to us in our everyday spiritual and family life we can apply what Jesus speaks here about bearing good and bad fruit from a tree, and what this also means spritiually , physcially.etc.

If you have an apple tree in your yard and if you keep it watered and pruned and taken care of it will bring forth good crops. Spritiuall if you keep your mind and soul and sirit watered with the word of God in your mouth, and keep yourself before God in prayer, worship and praise you will bear good spiritual fruit of the Holy Spirit in spiritual gifts and the things of the Lord.

As in the works of the ministry reaching out to others with the gospel of Jesus Christ and doing what we, as believers have so been commanded to go and do bear good fruits which is do good works for the sake of the gospel adn for the kingdom of God through the winning souls, and helping the poor and needy as Jesus potnts out in Matthew chapter 25, because our good works will also come before the judgment of God.

Physically, if a child is reach in a family where there is no Christ being taught, the child will not do those things that are right beofe God. The passages says a good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. So if a child is raised under the guidance of bad parents not much can be said as to how the child will grow up be in troubles and out of control.

We are told to rasie a child up the was he/she should go/grow, and when he/she is older they will not DEPART from those teachings. Noitce it does not say the growing child or grown child/adult will not STRAY from the teahcings, but they will not DEPART. The person will sometimes stray from the teachings of good parents, but the person will not DEPART ALL TOGETHER from the teachings. Because they were raised by a good godly teachings, parents who were of a good tree bearing good fruit.

There may be one rotten one or two in the bunch, but that one or two will always somewhere down the road, years later return back to the teaching of the good parent.

Just as there might be one or two rotten apples fall off the tree, but they did not start out as rotten/bad apples. But this is because no one takes care of the tree, and the apples are found to be rotten before they fall from the tree...

SIDE BAR: The good tree bears healthy fruit when it is taken care of; the bad tree bears bad/rotten fruit because it has not been taken care of; the bad disobedient out of control child/adult has problems and is always in troubles because he/she grew up in a home where the parents DID NOT ministered the word of God, nor good positive things to th child; the good child/adult grew up in a home where although the both parents might not have been good godly parents at least the influence of one parent might have taught the right things of God to the growing child; and there are the children/adults who grow up with both good godly parents and are taught the right things of God who might STRAY for a season from the teachings, but they DO NOT DEPART from those good godly teachings of their parents of the Lord.
