Spiritual Gifts Through the Power of the Holy Ghost!

Every born again christian believer is given the Holy Spirit and He empowers us with one or two or more spritual gifts.

As christian believers we are to use those spiritual gifts given to us by God through the power of the Holy Spirit for the works of God's ministry.

Why do you think christians are not operating in the spiritual gifts?

Some Christians are not operating in their Spiritual Gifts because they may not be aware of what that Gift is. You have seek and pray and ask God what it is, he will reveal it to you.

Then Some "so called" Christians are not true Believers of the Holy Spirit, so they will not Receive until they Believe.

I Corinthians 12 Chapter- kjv

Talks about the Spiritual Gifts.

They all operate together as to make a Whole. Each part has a part in the Church.

Church meaning the Body of Christ, made up of the Believers of Jesus, not a Church Building.

The simplest definition of a spiritual gift would be this:

A spiritual gift is the God-given capacity of every Christian to carry out his function in the body of Christ/Church.

Spiritual gifts are given by the Holy Spirit to every believer!!!!! (1 Corinthians 12:7-11).

Each gift is a manifestation of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:7).

Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are varieties of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons (1 Corinthians 12:4-6).

Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up (1 Corinthians 8:1)

So, what are the gifts of the Spirit of God?

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:

8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

1 Cor.12

1 Corinthians 12

Spiritual Gifts: Unity in Diversity

1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant: 2 You know that[a] you were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, however you were led. 3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.

4 There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: 8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same[b] Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

Unity and Diversity in One Body

12 For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. 13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one bodywhether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or freeand have all been made to drink into[c] one Spirit. 14 For in fact the body is not one member but many.

15 If the foot should say, Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body, is it therefore not of the body? 16 And if the ear should say, Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body, is it therefore not of the body? 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling? 18 But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. 19 And if they were all one member, where would the body be?

20 But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. 21 And the eye cannot say to the hand, I have no need of you; nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. 22 No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary. 23 And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor; and our unpresentable parts have greater modesty, 24 but our presentable parts have no need. But God composed the body, having given greater honor to that part which lacks it, 25 that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. 26 And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.

27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. 28 And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? 30 Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? 31 But earnestly desire the best[d] gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.

The twelfth ch of 1st Cor. is only applicable to those that have received The Gift of the Holy Spirit.

The born again believe does have a measure of The holy spirit, but you have to receive The Holy spirit to have the fullness of the Godhead, to have that, that Jesus said was better than being with him. To be baptized with the Holy Spirit, The gift of The Holy Ghost and being filled with the Holy Spirit are all of the same meaning.

Joh 7:39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

Notice the language in this verse receive the Holy Spirit, the bible tells us the world can not receive the Holy Spirit, one must first be born again, he is the gift of the father to the church.

This is a picture of the new birth in a man.

Joh 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

This is a picture of one that has received the Holy Spirit:

Jn 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Jn 7:39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.

When the 120 was in the upper room they had already been born again.

Jn 20:22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

The 2nd chapter of Acts was the baptized with the Holy Spirit, The gift of the Holy Spirit and being filled with the Holy Spirit.

Acts 1:4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. this is referring to as it is stated in the Gospels, you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost and Fire.

Acts 2:15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

Acts 2:16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

Acts 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

Acts 2:18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

These scriptures tell us this gift is for all flesh, the enemy has built many lies around this teaching, for he does not want a believe to walk in this truth.

Notice these scriptures and the wording the people had already believed on Jesus:

Acts 8:12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

Acts 8:13 Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.

Acts 8:14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:

Acts 8:15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:

Acts 8:16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)

Acts 8:17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

It is very clear what has transpiried.

Notice the account with Saul:

Acts 9:17 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.

Acts 9:18 And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.

What was it Paul asked these at Ephesus: Have you received the Holy Ghost and he found out they where not yet born again nor had they heard about no holy ghost. but then where born again and then received The Holy Spirit.

All believers need to receive The gift of The Holy Spirit.
