A FRUITFUL RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST JESUS



Daily Bread ~ The Word for Today�



�I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.� John 15:5



Some people try to become soul winners but don�t have a relationship with Christ, so they get discouraged and throw in the towel because the only joy they have is the fruit. They�re trying to produce the fruit without enjoying the relationship. They�re missing a lot of the sweetness that God intended to be theirs.



My point is this, we need to work harder at having the kind of relationship with Christ Jesus that produces fruit, than we need to labor at producing fruit for Him. " For we are laborers together with God�, according to 1 Corinthians 3:9. Without Him you can do nothing. If that be true ( and that�s what it says in our verse ) and I�ve not established the relationship that produces fruit, or I�m not maintaining a proper relationship that would produce fruit, I�ll live in frustration, discouragement, and relative fruitlessness, because I�m not abiding in Him. It�s the relationship that will produce the fruit.



That�s the error and mistake that many of God�s people make. I want to work for God, but the fruit bearing is the natural outcome of a proper relationship with the Lord Christ Jesus. Let�s labor to establish and maintain a relationship with the Lord Christ Jesus that produces fruit.
