"But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of everyman, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ." 1 Corinthians 11:3. I am stuggling with this accepting this verse. I have always been a strong, individual who didn't need a man beside me. I can take care of myself. I have big dreams, I'm going to see the world. I plan to have a career and be sucessful. I hate people telling me what to do, its my life so I make the decisions, with the guidence of the Lord. I do want to getfinish married oneand day, but II still wanta to independent. I don't want to think that my husband will be the head of me. What does that mean exactly? Is my future husband supposed to be in charge of me? I don't want this to be true, I don't understand why it is like this. I feel like God doesn't love me as much as men. Why men? Did God make it like this because woman are typically more sensitive and emotional? I'm so lost and confused. Please tell me what you think. Thank you and God Bless!

God is humble,

The NIV, Life Application Study Bible explains 1Cor.11:3 like this:

In the phrase. "the head of the woman is man," head is not used to indicate control or supremacy, but rather, "the source of." Because man was created first, the woman derives her existence from man, as man does from Christ and Christ from God... Submission is a key element in the smooth functioning of any business, government, or family. God ordained submissions in certain relationships to prevent chaos. It is essential to understand that submission is not surrender, withdrawal, or apathy. It does not mean inferiority, because God created all people in His image and because all have equal value. Submission is mutual commitment and cooperation.

"You know that the rulers in this world lord it over their people and officials flaunt their authority over those under them. But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must become your slave. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many (Matthew 20:25-28)."

God is mighty,

Ken

God Loves everyone the same Men and Women. Eva in the Garden of Eden was a fallen woman so afterward, God put man in charge of the woman. The woman was created from the beginning as a Help Meet created for the man.

God knows what kind of man we need as our spouse.

Do not look at it as a Man being the Boss over you.

Marriage is beautiful with two Christians that agree to serve

God/Jesus together in a loving relationship.

Continue to Pray and see the Lord when you desire to marry

we all have things God needs to help us with in our human

character.

Blessings......

God doesn't love men more than women, He just ordained the world to function in a certain way, and most do not want the Will fo God. Most women, and men too, are rebellious and hate the Lord, regardless of statements of [alleged] faith.

To obey the Word, is to love God..

Is it, that you want to be a man? Well, that you can never be. So why not be satisfied with the way He made you?

a wise man

Ephesians 5:22-25: "Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the Head of the church His body, of which He is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in *EVERYTHING*. Husbands love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her."
