It happened to Jesus. "He was in the world," John said," and the world did not know Him. (John 1:10). Why did people who had been expecting the Messiah give Jesus such a cold reception? One reason is that they were surprised. Just as people today don't expect famous musicians to play in railway stations, the people in Jesus' day didn't expect Messiah to be born in a stable. They also expected Him to be a political king not the head of a spiritual kingdom. The pleople in the first century were blinded to God's purpose in sending Jesus to this world. He came to save people from their sins (John 1:29). Receive God's surprising gift of salvation that he offers freely to you today. Amazing thought! that God in flesh Would take my place and bear my sin: That I, a guilty, death-doomed soul, Eternal life might win! :yay: Post Reply

He was sent by the Father, from the foundation of the world, to give Himself a ransom for many, and He died, FINISHING what He was sent to do.. "For by one offering He hath perfected forever them that are sanctified" [Hebrews 10:14] What does sanctified mean? What does sanctified refer to? The term "sanctified" refers to those whom the Father chose before the world began, to be merciful, and He sent His only begotten son to pay that ransom that would be due.. "For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified." [Romans 8:29-30] Notice the tense of the verbiage used, referring to something that was planned in advance of its being needed. "For whom He DID foreknow" Believers have always stated that the word FOREKNOW implies Divine Affection, for He did something for them, He DID PREDESTINE them. And then the scripture adds, moreover those whom He DID FOREKNOW and DID PREDESTINE, He also CALLED, and them who He DID FOREKNOW, and DID PREDESTINE, and whom He CALLED, He also JUSTIFIED, and GLORIFIED. It is all in past tense, as in the case that it was all already done, and now we are just waiting for those things which He hath purposed, to come to pass. He [the Father] was able to enjoy a relationship with men of God [women too] before Jesus was sacrificed as the Messiah, based upon our being "PREDESTINED" to be "JUSTIFIED", which is that Jesus did on the cross. When Jesus came, He came to FINISH and finalize that glorious thing that the Father had purposed towards His children before time began. "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly places in Christ, in accordance with His having chosen us in Him before time began." We now have faith, because it was decreed to take place in our lives, respectively, before time began.. Hence, Jesus is "the secret place of the Most High!" awm Post Reply

God did send Jesus his only son for the ransom of Many. Jesus paid the price as the Ultimate sacrifice for our Sins. He suffered, died, rose again so that we might be saved through faith in Him (Jesus) Now..if you believe this then we agree.
