"PUT GOD FIRST"? Where did this religious absurd notion originate?

"And he is before all things, and by him all things consist." [Col 1:17]

Hello all,

It's me, a wise man, once again, here to critique the religious rhetoric that is being set forth as "godliness" and "wisdom".

Today's topic is "I am looking for someone who puts God first", and "if you are not someone who puts God first, I am afraid we would not be a good match!"

How can anyone be said to be "putting God first"?

How can you do anything with God, in the first place, to take Him and move Him about, so as to be "putting Him" someplace..?

How did this absurd notion presenting itself as true knowledge of the Lord, find its way into conversations about real faith..?

Who is GOD? He is, and then you are, and without Him Being FIRST, period, you would not be, secondly!

So, men need to quit thinking, or stating, that they can do anything with God.

GOD, according to all knowledge about Him in the world, is OMNISCIENT, meaning He is "ALL KNOWING".

GOD, according to all knowledge about Him in the world, is OMNIPRESENT, meaning He is "ALL BEING, OR EXISTING EVERYWHERE IN HIS BEING".

GOD, according to all knowledge about Him in the world, is OMNIPOTENT, meaning He is "ALL POWERFUL".

How can finite beings manage One Who is Infinite?

Where would you begin, and most importantly, how would you begin, to gather Him together, as though to control Him to PUT HIM someplace?

This worthless rhetoric purporting to be "a statement of wisdom", which is what it means to believe in or possess knowledge about God, is by its very own definition, insulting and demeaning to the Divine Character and Nature..

What are your thoughts about this statement?

Are you one who thinks that they, or anyone, can "PUT GOD FIRST", or "PUT HIM" anyplace..?

Here is a splendid example of one way to determine if someone truly knows the Lord, or is knowledgeable about the things of God..

In short, if you see one using verbiage such as this, you might want to let your clutch out..

This "PUTTING GOD" is a seemingly religious statement designed to make others think that the one using it, knows about faith in the Lord.

signed, a man, created of dust, communicating to dust, about the ONE Who made ALL things, and upholds all things.

It is not the wisdom of God that would put together such a post.

Christians are not to walk ion the wisdom of this world, you did not set anything straight you just continually expose your heart with these kind of post's

If we're not careful to be lead by the law of Christ in all the things that we do, we can end up "putting God in any place but first." Many things compete for first place in our lives everyday, so let us pray for one another that the love of God will reign supreme in our hearts.

All glory to Jesus Christ,

Ken

"YOU DID NOT SET ANYTHING STRAIGHT"..

Yep, you are 100% Correct about that, for it is written, "AND THEY SHALL ALL BE TAUGHT OF GOD, THEREFORE EVERYONE THAT HATH HEARD AND LEARNED OF THE FATHER COMETH TO ME".

I am not the Father, it is not my place to "SET ANYTHING STRAIGHT"...

This is the problem with false Christianity, and all of these modern philosophers running around "SETTING THINGS STRAIGHT"..

This is exactly why Christianity has over 32,000 different denominations in it. Everyone who doesn't like what is actually written in the Word of God, wants to "STRAIGHTEN IT OUT!"

When it comes to the real gospel, all the children of God know fully well that the wondrous knowledge of faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God!

It is not my Word, that I am to use it to whip people with it, or set people straight! It is the power of the Word, which sets people straight.

What a wicked doctrine you are proposing, that the Word is weak and needs men [such as you] to "SET PEOPLE STRAIGHT!"

Also, one more thing, which I will humbly bow before the Word which is already straight; the Father stands over His Word to perform it, and it never fails, contrary to what you think, nor doe it return to Him void.

This is the problem, you act as though this is your word, writing all of this stuff about tongues and false doctrines, and pretending that the Word of God is here for you to use it to persuade, convince, or sway others, as though it is a weak thing and needs you to help it.

The Lord does not need me "SETTING ANYBODY STRAIGHT!"

Yeah, you are finally 100% CORRECT!

Then why do you keep trying to and why is it you want others to believe other than the word.

We expected to put God first in all things it is very simple.

The word by the spirit of god enables us top do all we are expected to do.

There is a reason for us to study:

That will not be ashamed!!

That will not continually confess profane babbling s

2nd Tim 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

2L:16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

Gods being a priority in someones life is what is meant by putting him first and if you know anything about God he will not impose on us his will he gave us our free will to choose him so that in its self give us the power to make God the priority of "put him first " in our life.. this post is completly obserd
