"Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away." [I Cor 13:8]

False preachers with false doctrines abound trying to convert men's ignorance into capital.

I was in the false pentecostal movement for 20 years, until the Father knocked me upside the head, and said to me, "Come out from among them, and touch not the unclean thing, and I will receive you to Myself, and you shall be My sons and daughters, saith the Lord".

I cannot tell you how many times I have seen this falsehood propagated by men who were seeking to persuade others that this worthless fictitious garbling and twisting of syllables and speech, is the tongues that the early church were familiar with.

Today these hypocrites trying to sell books, cds, and dvds, are nothing but Babylonians looking for another means of generating capital.

These neo-Babylonians, today, are easily recognized by the same behavior as the Jews who emerged - Babylonians - in the 5th century BC, and suckered the people of Israel into believing that their taking the Temple over with their stores and goods, were really servants of the Lord..

This is why we see the same damnable practices that caused Jesus to fashion a whip, and commence to overturning the tables of the money changers, who finally were able to have Him killed.

Todays "money-changers" are called "preachers", and they are behind these mega-churches with all of their playgrounds, movie theaters, stores, restaurants, et cetera. They are using the truth of God, and selling it, or converting it into capital.

So, the next time you see one of these so-called men or women of God trying to persuade another to listen to them about "tongues", remember this, they are using myths and falsehoods to garner a power unto themselves, so as to enslave another, for whatever reasons they can..

Some on here, are trying to use the appearance that they are "super-spiritual" and are knowledgeable about such deep and mighty things of scripture, so you will follow them blindly..

The Word of God states that the tongues were to cease, so the false church would be magnified through its declaration of tongues being the evidence of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, and not fruit meet for repentence.

The Word of God has power all on its own, and it doesn't need men and woman trying to pretend that real faith is founded on the wagging of their tongue.

Been there and done that, and as Paul was blinded on the Road to Damascus, I have seen the LIGHT.

a wise man

Your Word and the Word of God are two different things.

For your statement to be true Jesus would have had to cease,

The gift of the Holy Ghost is still the promise of The father.

The wisdom of man does not excel the wisdom of God.

Are you trying to defend the value of your stock? Are you one of those who feel that good PR serves the Body of Christ?

1st Cor 13:4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

1st Cor 13:5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

1st Cor 13:6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

1st Cor 13:7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

1st Cor 13:8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

1st Cor 13:9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

1st Cor 13:10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

1st Cor 13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

1st Cor 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

1st Cor 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

1st Cor 14:1 Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.

The context here is the love of God, Love in the midst of the teachings of the gift's of the spirit, and speaking in tongues.

Love never changes thus we never the word of God never changes, the church today is the same church spoken of the word of God, it is not another church and the covenant has not been done away with it.

In the context the word of God goes right back into the teachings on tongues, and not only that Paul exhorts the church to desire spiritual gifts.

1Co 14:39 Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.

Notice verse's later Paul is exhorting the church to covet to Prophesy and to forbid not to speak in tongues.

Now back to your post you choose to post one scripture and to add your opinion and in thus denying the very word of

God.

Verse nine says we know in part

Verse ten when that which is perfect has come that, then that which is in part will be done away with.

Verse twelve we still know in part, but when face to face we shall see clearly, it couldn't be any clearer.

Not to mention we know Knowledge has not been done away with.!!!!!!

This two paragraphs simply say and you want other's to believe the lord spoke to you and told you to turn his back on him, that is exactly what you said.

The Holy spirit only works with the word of God.

The word of God does not need reforming thats crazy, and I just think its disgusting when people quote part of a scripture to make it say what they want it to say because that very scripture proves that tounges will be here until Jesus and his perfect kingdom comes because it says when that which is perfect has come that which is in part will be done away with, funny how the original poster left that out, another example of the reformed "church" making Gods word say what they want it to say, very very sad I am not angry howevcer with these people I am praying for them , satan has decieved them and its so clear to me, the bible speaks of this deception and also people who "loved not the truth" the bible is all truth you cant pick and choose which parts you like, if you quote the love never fails and tounges will cease part then you must gop ahead and quote the "when that which is perfect has come part" and the canon being that which is perfect thing in the last thread about this is obserd Jesus and his kingdom is that which is perfect and anything else is a crazy asumption of someone who "loves not the truth"

(verse 8) these three will cease because they are partial in nature and will be unnecessary when what is Complete hasl come.

Meaning, Christ return!

I Cor 13:9,10

For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

When Christ returns we will be complete.

In all your getting get an Understanding!

THanks Angel.... When Jesus comes then we wont need the gifts (prophecy snd tounges and so forth) because at that time we will be with him (some of us) I dont see how it can be so grossly misunderstood and misquoted

I love you my sister Donna.:hearts:

Our churches are full of thorns. Our God Jesus said that it will be until the Judgement day.

That's why our enemies are even christians in churches.

Amazing.

Donna, be ready to see it.

They are part of the local churches, but they have never belonged to the Church of God that's why they will be judged by God and cast out to the lake of fire.

What is the difference between thorns, goats, dogs and the sheep of God?

Jusus will judge us all. But dogs will be outside of the New Jerusalem. Because they were not born of God!!!!!

That's why Donna be FAITHFUL to our Lord Jesus obeying Him and loving people. Those who love people:hearts:, are born of God.
