The word of God teaches man can and does believe all thru the Old testament.
It is the topic of Faith.
Every time it is posted you ignore it, because it expose's your private interpretation's or opinion's.
Answer have an ear to hear and eyes to see for Jesus taught us it is a choice, but some chose to harden their heart and thus they can not see nor hear.

Mt 13:15 For this peoples heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
This not only the truth, but for those that want to know truth, it is a revelation.
Donna those are exactly what James try's to sell it is not the word of God, but the word of men and it is of none effect a corrupted seed will not produce.
The post right above this contains the answer the word of God.

John 17:1-2 Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: "Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, (2) "as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him.

(13) As it is written, "Jacob I have loved, but Esau I have hated."
Romans 11:5-7 Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant according to the election of grace. (6) And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. Rev 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him [are] called, and chosen, and faithful.

Romans 11:1-11 I say then, has God cast away His people? Certainly not! For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. (2) God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel, saying, (3) "LORD, they have killed Your prophets and torn down Your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life"? (4) But what does the divine response say to him? "I have reserved for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal." (5) Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant according to the election of grace. (6) And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.
(7) What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were blinded. (8) Just as it is written: "God has given them a spirit of stupor, Eyes that they should not see And ears that they should not hear, To this very day." (9) And David says: "Let their table become a snare and a trap, A stumbling block and a recompense to them. (10) Let their eyes be darkened, so that they do not see, and bow down their back always."
(11) I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? Certainly not! But through their fall, to provoke them to jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles.
God will call everyone to repentence the whole world but only some will heed the call and even out of the ones that heed only a few will "endure till the end"
No need for any explanation as a matter of fact teaches quite the opposite of what you infer.
Jn 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Jn 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Jn 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Jn 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
Jn 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
Jn 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
Jn 3:22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.
Jn 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Jn 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Jn 3:18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Jn 3:19And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
It is amazing how when would to project that scripture as all hate the light.
Romans 3:11 None seeks after God
Where is the right dividing in trying to project this all of mankind?
Romans 3:3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?
Romans 3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
Romans 3:5 But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)
Romans 3:6 God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?
Romans 3:7 For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?
Romans 3:8 And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.
Romans 3:9 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;
Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Romans 3:11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
Romans 3:12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Romans 3:13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:
Romans 3:14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:
Those spoken of in this context are those that do not believe as said in verse three,
This is a quote from the Old testament and is talking about a group of people and a particular time,
The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
2 The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.
5 There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.
6 Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge.
7 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
You sure can not apply that to all of the people in the bible.
The bible describes a fool as one that does not believe.
@pj then a fool you are. you should be ashamed of yourself for mocking am Almighty God. One day you wil stand before your maker and hear Matt 7:23 And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!

Now Donna again you do exactly what you say I do, mock the word of God.
You amened Elisha and she said other than what you say, amazing, lol
Yeah I am confused because I know for sure James and I dont agree he says that God calls or chooses certain people and leaves others alone thats not true we are all called at some point we become his chosen when we are grafted in the vine when we become one with Christ thats when we become his chosen
I have a question for the election folks...
On Judgment day do you think men will be able to stand before God and say "God you never called me" "You never gave me a chance ,I wasnt called or chosen so why am I getting eternal judgment"
The answer is certainly not, thats crazyness God will give every man a chance. He is a just God.. For instance I saw a study on the first names in the book of chronicals and what they mean I wish i could remember all of it but what I do remember is this Methusela means "when he dies it comes" methurela lived to be 969 years old the oldestman to ever have lived ..WHY? because God was trying to give the world a chance to live right because he didnt want to bring judgment on them with the flood so he let methusela live for almost 1000 years because he was going to send the flood after methuselas death
on judgement day the ones God chose will be basking in their God's glory, singing praises to an Almighty God. no one else will care because they never knew him.
