We all agee that the spirit of god must draw us, why are people arguing that?
We all agree Jesus did the saving at calvary
We all agree that the Elect or the Chosen ones will inherit the kingdom of God
The only thing we dont agree on is that whether or not the spirit of God will draw every man at some point in his life,
Because is the spirit of God draws every man then that means men have it with in them selfs to accept salvation or reject it, right?
dont we have it with our selfs to accept and heed to the call of the Holy Spirit drawing us... Or do we have no choice in the matter? really now come on be honest , if you have the Holy Spirit guiding you and showing you helping you decern truth from the lies hell is selling the world then you know that God has done the work on calvary he has put it there and we must acccept it but we will never accept it until the spirit draws, when he does draw we have the option to reject it.
Which leads me to a question James and AWM and Donna have not yet answerd for me.
If our fate is sealed and God is gonna take whoever to heaven he wants and leave the rest to damnation and we have no responsibility at all to accept him then...

It is not for us to judge if someone is saved, or going to be saved that is of God. We are to pray for the unsaved, that God would draw them unto himself. I also have family and friends that are unsaved. I pray for them all the time. I also invite them to church functions.
Why Donna would we pray for them if God has already decided who will go and who wil not? I know its a command for us to pray I just think that God wouldnt tell us to do this if there was no hope for them, I think there most cetainly is hope for my sweet sweet pretty girl:applause: I love her and I know God will save her if I keep praying for her because he can save her and he promises to answer our prayer he may not force her but God has a way of bringing us to a place where we know we are so very small and that we are nothng without him, that is the work of the Holy Spirit when He shows us that , we are suposed to pray that he will draw them to him and create circumstances where they know they must have him in order to make it, I have not given up on my pretty girl because I know GOD LOVES HER TOO ANS HE LOVES THE WHOLE WORLD like it says in John 3:16...
Thank you Donna I do see your genuine love for the Lord and I apreciate it, the beautiful thing is this we dont have to all believ exactly the same thing to recieve salvation Jesus and him crucified thats what we need then repentence thats is.. all of these little details are important yes but not necasary to salvation
First of all the draw card is overplayed and not understood as is, the term chosen and any other word some use to put in there, to create doubt.
The primary was the father draws people to himself is the word of God.
The parable of the sower is very clear on that.
Many times you see this verse quoted:
JN 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
6:45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.
The following verse is always left out, but very en lighting
It is the father that does all he did by faith that worketh by love.
His word's are all full of faith and able to produce in the heart of any that receives the word.
Have you never noticed this key word that seems to go overlooked, Received yes the word received.
The reason that it is so important in understanding they received, is because the father is the first to call things that be not as though they where, As far as he is concerned all are saved because the price was paid for all, all a person needs to do is hear the word and believe it that is how it is received.
The father (Faith) calleth things that be not as thought they where, that is the voice of faith and that is how it works, which is the law of faith as mentioned in Romans.
If you believe that some can not be saved, then you call the father a liar for he already sees them saved that is why their name is written in the book of life.
He is love and love believes the best, and hopeth all things.
If we do not believe the father wants all to accept Jesus then you have no gospel to the lost, for you are calling God a liar.
Get the God of the word out of your religious box.
I do most certainly believ that God wants us all to get saved but he will never encroach on our free will to choose whether or not we accept him.. PJ I agree with you I am sure of it, sometimes Donna says things I agree with too, but James never does he is way off base and in desperate need of prayer as I will pray for all of you my brothers and sisters to come into the true understanding (myself inclused) because there is always more of God:applause:

The Bible says that God is totally sovereign and man is totally responsible.
Read Romans 9 because the Apostle Paul KNEW you would say what you just said!

There is no possible way you can look at a person and say they are not elect. You have no idea, and YOU and I BOTH were just as spiritually DEAD before God saved us.
Do you pray to God not to "violate my daughters free will"?
Or do you pray like a Calvinist and say, "God please Save her!"
Keep praying for you daughter, God is merciful and He has chosen to save more than anyone can count.

1. Because God SAID TO.
2. Because God has chosen the MEANS as well as the ends.
God decided to use the gospel being preached, so that is what we do!
You don't KNOW who is going to trust in Jesus, so we tell everyone!
What do you think of this verse:
Act 13:48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.
See there? We preach the Gospel and SOME WILL believe!

You Do pray like a Calvinist!! See, if you were Arminian, you would be more concerned about free will.
Arminians LOVE their pretend free will. The Bible says that all mankind is enslaved to sin, but they reject that.

Of course not. You just need to examine more Scripture and think about it. Look, the Bible teaches some things that a LOT of Modern American Christians don't know about.
God's love for you is MUCH more precise and all powerful, and salvation is TOTALLY of grace.
You have people who post on here, like PJ and others who think that God's love is sentimental, and that people partially save themselves by their decision.
It is just not true. They have a radically higher view of fallen mankind than what the Bible teaches. They think the human race is just fine, and that they have the capability to repent and have faith. None of that is true. Just keep an open mind Elisha, and READ the Scriptures on this.
James I think you are wrong about most Christians we do not think that man kind is ok and we dont think that man would ever repent with in him self.. I have said many times I could never have the faith I have cept God give it to me...
You missed my point though my questions were either my daughter is one of the elect or she isnt (according to your theroy) so why pray ? if she is she will make it no need for prayer if she isnt she wont ie:prayers are wasted
