Sin is the result of Unbelief:
What do you believe?
Gen 3:1 And the serpent was cunning above every animal of the field which Jehovah God had made. And he said to the woman, Is it true that God has said, You shall not eat from any tree of the garden?
Gen 3:2 And the woman said to the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden,
Gen 3:3 but of the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden, God has said, You shall not eat of it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.
Gen 3:4 And the serpent said to the woman, Dying you shall not die,
Gen 3:5 for God knows that in the day you eat of it, even your eyes shall be opened, and you shall be as God, knowing good and evil.
Gen 3:6 And the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and the tree was desirable to make one wise. And she took of its fruit and ate; and she also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.
Gen 3:7 And the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed leaves of the fig tree, and made girdles for themselves.
Sin is the result of 'UNBELIEF'.
Did Adam believe YHWH when YHWH had said to Adam;
Gen 2:16 And Jehovah God commanded the man, saying, Eating you may eat of every tree in the garden;
Gen 2:17 but of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil you may not eat, for in the day that you eat of it, dying you shall die.
No,Adam instead had taken the fruit that was in the hand of Eve,and Adam had eaten the fruit.
Adam and Eve were only half right in their assessment of their situation,
Gen 3:10 And he said, I have heard Your sound in the garden, and I was afraid, for I naked, and I hid myself.
Adam and Eve were not only physically naked,they were also spiritually naked;seeing that they were now out from being under YHWH..
How about yourself;do you see yourslef as being spiritually naked out from under the protection of YHWH as the result of your sin(s).
If so,do you also see your need of trusting Yeshua to clothe you in His Righteousness.
Some simple questions to ask,to see 'IF' i trust Yeshua or myself to Save me from the wrath of GOD against my sin(s).
1.Who are you trusting to justify you before YHWH.
Yourself: (good works,obedience to the law of YHWH,
repenting of sin,being baptized,making a confession of Yeshua.
Or are you trusting Yeshua only to justify you before YHWH.
Mat 28:18 And coming up Jesus talked with them, saying, All authority in Heaven and on earth was given to Me.
Yes,even the Authority to justify those trusting Him to save them.
2.Whose 'RIGHTEOUSNESS' are you trusing:
Yours:I don't drink alcoholic drinks,I do not smoke,I do not do this or that;I do do this and that (i do,do and do and then it becomes Doo doo,hahahaha)
Or are you trusting Yeshua to being 'RIGHTEOUS',and having lived righteously before YHWH on your behalf,as you trust Yeshua.
Jer 23:5 Behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and act wisely, and He shall do justice and righteousness in the earth.
Jer 23:6 In His days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely. And this is His name by which He shall be called, Jehovah our Righteousness.
3.WHose holiness are you trusting.
Yours by 'TRYING' to live a perfect holy life.
Or are you trusting in Yeshuas 'HOLINESS'.
Exo_39:30 And they made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote upon it a writing, like to the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO THE LORD.
4.Whose sanctification are you trusting:
Yours,by trying to live differently from those in the world .
Or are you 'TRUSTING YESHUAs' Sanctification of Himself.
Joh_17:19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
5.WHose perfection are you trusting.
Yours,by trying to live perfectly,thus always mising the mark,namely 'BEING and LIVING PERFECTLY as YHWH is perfect.
Or are you trusting Yeshua to being perfect,and having lived 'PERFECTLY' on your behalf ....
