Now rememeber,James is talking with another person here. Jas 2:17 So also faith, if it does not have works, is dead being by itself. Jas 2:18 But someone will say, You have faith, and I have works. Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith out of my works. Jas 2:19 You believe that God is One. You do well; even the demons believe and shudder. Jas 2:20 But are you willing to know, O vain man, that faith apart from works is dead? Shalom Post Reply

(Romans 5:1 John 3:16 etc.) This passage is used by Jehovah's witnesses to say that we are saved by faith plus works, which is a lie from Hell. You don't have to know Greek to understand this passage, because our translations are accurate. James was dealing with people who SAID they were Christians but their lives had no fruit. If a person is truly born again, it will show in their life. The Reformers said it this way: "We are saved by faith alone, but by a faith that is never alone." In Christ, James Post Reply

That is how James I know why Calvinism was the first time I was asked what I thought of the tulip my answer was immediate It is a doctrine of Demons, how do you know first your born again and the Spirit of truth is in you and I know and believe the word of God is true and I will give in to pride to alter it's truth. He reveals himself to me, and the more he does that the more faith I have, does he fust inject me with this type of faith instantly well no he doesnt but having the kind of faith I have does require God I dont have it by myself Post Reply

Me James to understand this Scripture the Greek is necessary. The english translations are not correct with this Scripture. There is also a lot of Scripture in the english that is not correct . Please go to the Greek,do not trust the english. Please also stop telling others they need to go to the reformers. People need to go to Yeshua,and read to study the Word themselves. The reformers were wrong about a lot of things..
