Ok , I have done some investigating and I have found that the three year tithe was put into place for farming comuninities and was instructions for a farming community to tithe, tithe means tenth so, if I am paying my tenth if I do it weekly,monthly oryearly... or every 3 years I am paying my tithes.. It is a greedy heart who doesmt want to give the tenth back to God!
to elisha.excellent response. when I first became a boen again Christian I did not understand it. I have been tithing for 22 years and never have been without. I don't look to material things I look to the Lord. you can't take anything with you. I also believe in helping the single moms,widows and anyone that needs even when I don't have it.I don't give to anyone on TV nor do I even turn it on anymore.

I see that you did not investigate the Scripture concerning the three year tithe.
Deu 14:22 Tithing you shall tithe all the increase of your seed that the field yields year by year.
Deu 14:23 And you shall eat before Jehovah your God in the place which He shall choose to cause His name to dwell there, the tithe of your grain, of your wine, and of your oil, and the firstlings of your herd and of your flock; that you may learn to fear Jehovah your God all your days.
Deu 14:24 And if the way is too long for you, so that you cannot carry it, because the place is too far from you which Jehovah your God shall choose to set His name there, when Jehovah your God shall bless you;

I would ask do you tithe of 'EVERYTHING' according to this Scripture.
