Hebrews 9:15,26b-28: Christ is the mediator of a **NEW COVENANT** so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance--now that He has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant...But now He has APPEARED once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the SACRIFICE of Himself... so Christ was SACRIFICED ONCE to take away the sins of many people, and He will *APPEAR* a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him.
Hebrews 8:8,9,13: God found fault with the people and said: The time is coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a **NEW COVENANT** with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah. It will **NOT** be like the covenant I made with their forefathers.....By calling this covenant **NEW**, He made the first one **OBSOLETE**; and what is **OBSOLETE** and aging will soon disappear. When all the words of the New Covenant were completed by the Book of Revelation in AD 96.
Hebrew 10:8-10: Jesus said, "Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them"Although the law required them to be made. The He {Jesus} said. "Here I am, I have come to do your will." He {Jesus} set aside the first {Covenant} to establish the second. And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus ONCE FOR ALL!!
Isaiah 53:5,6: "But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed. We all like sheep have gone astray, each of us turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all!!"
In the old covenant God's commandments were only preached to Jews but in the New Covenant Jesus commands us to preach to every nation in the world teaching them to obey *EVERYTHING* He commanded and everything would also include all of the approximately 400 NT commandments also taught in Acts to Revelation {See 2 Timothy 3-16 to 4:2.}
There were 613 OT commandments and Jesus changed many of them including all of the strict Sabbath commands and all of the commands to stone someone for sinning {Jesus says that he who is without sin should cast the first stone} Jesus also eliminated all the strict Levitical dietary laws declaring that all foods are now clean. And Jesus also commanded us not to make any vows or oaths {Matt 5:33-37}on anything Just let your Yes be yes and your no no.
Jesus also eliminated the eye for an eye laws and commanded us to always offer up the other cheek and to love {See Matt 5:38-48} our enemies. And of course Jesus eliminated all sacrifices and offerings for sin by the sacrifice of Himself. Jesus also eliminated the earthly rewards for faithful service and commanded us to sell our possessions and give to the poor and get TREASURES IN HEAVEN and **THEN** to come follow Him!
Luke 12:33,34: Jesus says, Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will not be exhausted....For where your treasure is there your heart will be also.
Matthew 20:20-24: All these {Commandments} I have kept, the young man said. What do I still lack? Jesus answered, If you want to be perfect, go, sell tour possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. **THEN** come, follow Me. When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth. Then Jesus says, It is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.
Luke 6:20: Jesus says Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.
2 Corinthians 6:4-10: As servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance, in troubles, hardships and distresses, in beatings, imprisonments; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love, in truthful speech and in the power of God; genuine, yet regarded as imposters; dying, and yet we live on; beaten and yet not killed; *POOR*, yet making many rich; *HAVING NOTHING*; and yet possessing everything.
I Timothy 6:5-10: There are men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain. But godliness with Contentment is great gain....If we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
I Timothy 2:9,10: I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.
Revelation 22:12: Jesus says, "Behold, I am coming soon! My *REWARD* is *WITH ME*, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done!"
2 Corinthians 5:9,10: "So we make it our goal to please Him..For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him {Not NOW} for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad!"
Matthew 16:27: Jesus says, For the Son of Man is going to come in His **FATHER'S GLORY WITH HIS ANGELS**{See Matt 24:30-31;25:31-40}, and **THEN** {Not with earthly rewards now} He will *REWARD* each person according to what he has done,"
I Peter 1:13: Therefore, prepare your minds for *ACTION*, and set your hope *FULLY* on the grace to be given *YOU* when Jesus Christ is *REVEALED*.:applause::angel::peace:
@ PJ did you notice how richard capitilized new covenant? He is trying to say there is a brand new one as in different, the covenant is the same dear heart. The difference is Jesus was the blood sacrifice. Jesus said he didnt come to abolish the law but to fullfill it. So he is fullfilling it he is the lamb sacrificed for sin. We are grafted into the vine that means we become Gods chosen when we get saved it does not mean there is a new covenant for us that is different from the children of israel. NEW in G2537 or g2357 one in strongs look it up! It means refreshed! That doesnt mean new as different but new as in the same one fresh and new! We still have the obligation to avoid sin but Jesus sent us the Holy Spirit who helps us to avoid sin. The bible says to flee from sin.. Not waller in it and claim its ok cause of a brand new covenant that says its alright to sin! If someone believes this satan has decieved them and if you believe that its alright to waller in sin and filth cause Jesus paid the price so that makes it ok and after you read what I have wriiten you still think that, there is a strong possibilty you have been sent the "strong delusion" thats spoken of in the new testement about false religion and being decieved! BECAUSE THEY LOVED NOT THE TRUTH

John 14:23,24: Jesus says, If anyone loves Me, he will *OBEY MY TEACHING. My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him! He who does not love Me will not obey My teaching. These words you hear are not My own; they belong to the Father who sent Me.
Deuteronomy 18:17-19: The Lord said to Moses, I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brothers. I will put My Words in His mouth, and He will tell them *EVERYTHING I command Him. If anyone does not listen to My Words that the Prophet speaks in My Name, I Myself will call him to account!
John 14:25,26: Jesus says, The Holy Spirit..will remind you of *EVERYTHING I have said to you!!
John 8:31: Jesus says, If you hold to My teaching, you are really My disciples. Then you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.
Matthew 28:18-20: Jesus says, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations...teaching them to *OBEY EVERYTHING I commanded you!
Matthew 10:26: Jesus says, What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, **PROCLAIM FROM THE HOUSETOPS**!!
I John 2:3-5: We know that we have come to know Him {Jesus} if we obey His commands. The man who says, I know Him, but does not do what He commands is a liar, and the Truth is not in him. But if anyone OBEYS HIS WORD, God's love is truly made complete in Him. This is how we know we are in Him!
Colossians 3:16: Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom!
Matthew 7:24,26: Jesus says, Everyone who hears these words of mine and **PUTS THEM INTO PRACTICE** is like a wise man who built his house on the Rock...But everyone who hears these Words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on the sand...and it fell with a great crash!
Luke 8:21: Jesus says, My mother and brothers are those who hear God's Word and **PUT IT INTO PRACTICE**!
Luke 11:27,28: a woman said to Jesus, Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed You. Jesus replied, Blessed rather are those who hear the Word of God and *OBEY IT*!
John 8:51: Jesus says, I tell you the Truth, if anyone keeps My Word, he will never see death!
John 17:6,17: Jesus says, I have revealed you to those you gave Me out of the world. They were yours, you gave them to Me and they have *OBEYED YOUR WORD!...Sanctify them by the Truth, your Word is Truth!
Matthew 24:35: Jesus says, Heaven and earth will pass away, but My Words will *NEVER pass away!
John 6:63: Jesus says, The Words I have spoken to you are Spirit and they are Life!
James 1:22,25: Do not merely listen to the Word, and so deceive yourselves. *DO WHAT IT SAYS....The man who looks intently into the perfect Word that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, **BUT DOING IT**he will blessed in what he does!
Mark 8:38: Jesus says, If anyone is ashamed of Me and My Words...the Son of man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His Father's glory with all His angels.
John 12:48: Jesus says, There is a Judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept My Words; that very Word which I spoke will condemn him at the Last Day!
Matthew 13:18-23: Jesus says, Listen to what the parable of the sower means: {Luke 8:11 adds The seed is the *WORD OF GOD*} When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the seed along the path. The one who received the seed that fell on rocky places is the man who hears the Word and at once receives it with joy. But since he has no root, he lasts only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the Word, he quickly falls away. The one who received the seed that fell among the thorns is the man who hears the Word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke it, making it unfruitful. But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the Word and *UNDERSTANDS IT {Mk 4:20 adds Accepts it & Luke 8:15 adds Retains it} He produces a crop, yielding a hundred {100}, sixty {60} or thrity {30} times what was sown.
**WE HAVE BEEN BORN AGAIN THROUGH THE LIVING WORD OF GOD**
John 1:13: To all who received Jesus He gave the right to become children of Godchildren born not of natural descent, NOR OF HUMAN DECISION or a husband's will but BORN OF GOD!
Ephesians 1:13: And you also were included in Chriist **WHEN YOU HEARD THE WORD** of Truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit!
I Peter 1:22-24: For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, **THROUGH THE LIVING AND ENDURING WORD OF GOD**....The Word of the Lord stands forever. And this is the Word that was preached to you!
James 1:18: He chose to give us birth **THROUGH THE WORD OF TRUTH**, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all He created!
I John 4:7,8: Let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been *BORN OF GOD. Whoever does not love does not know God, because **GOD IS LOVE**!
DOES JESUS APPOINT PROPHETS IN THE NEW TESTAMENT ERA??
Ephesians 4:11-16 It was He {Jesus} who gave some to be *PROPHETS*, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
I Corinthians 12:28-29,31: In the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second *PROPHETS*, third teachers...Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers?...but eagerly desire the greater gifts.
I Corinthians 14:1: Follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of *PROPHECY*.
Romans 12:6: We have different gifts. If a man's gift is *PROPHESYING let him use it in proportion to his faith.
2 Peter 1:20,21: Above all, you must understand that no *PROPHECY of Scripture came about by the *PROPHET'S own interpretation. For *PROPHECY never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
I Thessalonians 5:20,21: Do not treat *PROPHECIES with contempt. *TEST EVERYTHING {With the Word of God!}. Hold onto the good.
Matthew 10:41: Jesus says, Anyone who receives a *PROPHET because he is a *PROPHET will receive a *PROPHET'S reward.
**THE PROPHECIES IN THE BOOK OF REVELATION**
Revelation 1:3: Blessed is the one who reads the Words of this *PROPHECY*, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it!
Revelation 3:14: Jesus says, These are the Words {All of *PROPHECIES* Revelation} of the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Ruler of God's creation!
Revelation 22:9,10: The angel said to John, I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers the *PROPHETS and all who keep the Words of this Book! Then he told me, Do not seal up the Words of the *PROPHECY of this Book!
*PROPHETS are mentioned 8 times in Revelation; whereas, pastors and teachers are not even mentioned once. God's 2 Tribulation witnesses are called prophets in Rev11:10 and *PROPHETS are also mentioned in Revelation 10:7; 11:18; 16:6;18:20,24; 22:6,9.
Revelation 22:7,12,13,16,18,19: Jesus says, Behold I am coming soon. Blessed is he who keeps the Words of the *PROPHECY in this Book...Behold, I am coming soon. My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done... I am the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End....I, Jesus have sent My angel to give *YOU {You here is Plural} this testimony {All of Revelation} **FOR THE CHURCHES**!!.... I warn everyone who hears the Words of the *PROPHECY of this Book: If anyone **ADDS** anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book {Including eternal Hell} And if any one **TAKES WORDS AWAY** from this Book of *PROPHECY*, God will take away from him his share in the Tree of Life and in the Holy City {The New Jerusalem}, which are described in this Book!
**THE NEW TESTAMENT WORD OF GOD OUTSIDE OF THE 4 GOSPELS**
I Thessalonians 2:13: And we also thank God continually because, when you received the Word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but as it actually is, the Word of God, which is at work in you who believe!
2 Peter 1:20.21: Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. But prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit!
2 Peter 3:16: Peter says, His {Paul's} letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort as they do other Scriptures, to their own destruction!
2 Timothy 1:13: Paul said, What you have heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus.
2 Timothy 3:16; 4:1-3: All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of His appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the Word, correct, rebuke and encouragewith great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear!
I Timothy 6:3-5: If anyone teaches false doctrine and does not ageee to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, he is conceited and understands nothing...These are men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain.
Philippians 2:16: You shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the Word of Life!
Hebrews 4:12: For the Word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit and judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart!
2 Timothy 2:15: Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the Word of Truth!
Beautiful Scripture passage Richard, BUT this is the question: Can the covenant God's made with Abraham change?
In other words, can any of the elements of the covenant be changed. If a person read all the passage related to the covenant you have posted, do you think he/she will be able to answer the question?
Those who have posted have given some great answers, and this is not to say that thr passage you have posted are not great, but where within those passages is the answer to the question?
