The thoughts and intents are also rwo distanct activities, yet both are activities of the mind. The soul and spirit of a man are distinct in function, but both have an immaterial character. Therefore, when considering the nature of man, we must realize that a person is a two-part being, with body and soul. The author of this passage points these things out to us, letting us know that since God is the creator of man, the divine power of God's Word can reach into the depths of a man's whole being. Thus, when a person is truly converted the whole spirit and soul and body is to be preserved blameless unto the caoming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God�s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. God's got it goin on like that and no one or nothing on earth can hide from Him that He cannot openly reveal or reach...DEAD OR ALIVE! .:applause: Post Reply

View Profile History	Immaterial Part of Man Posted : 21 Nov, 2011 12:57 PM It is by Hebrews 4:12 the lord taught me to divide the word of God as we are instructed to do with the word of God. in otherwords in studying the word we rightly divide the word with the word. When you walk in the light of this scripture, you will distinguish when one is communicating out of their heart our mind. The majority of the post here are of the mind and the flesh. Post Reply
