NOTICE PLEASE, that PJ did not use one scripture, while managing to place himself, and his perspective of the Holy Writ, above the revelatory POWER of the Holy Spirit. Here is an example of an average Christian, whose every word and thought, is not guided by the Word of God, but through the counsel of men and their systematic theology. "In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory." [Eph 1:13-14] Here is the Word of God teaching the true children of God, the sequence of election - which will ultimately lead to salvation: 1) predestination, 2) calling, 3) justification, and 4) glorification; which PJ has managed to insult, for his vain glory, of course. You have to read these scriptures from the beginning to the end, realizing that this is the same sequence Paul [the same writer (under the Anointing of the Holy Spirit)] in Romans 8:29-30: "For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified." These aspects of our salvation are to be demonstrated not only throughout time, but also involve aspects which occurred before time began, and shall continue after the time of the end. Those whom the Father did foreknow [set His love upon (see Matthew 25:31-34)], He also did PREDESTINE to be conformed in time to the image of His Son. Moreover those whom He did PREDESTINE, He also CALLED: each believer shall come in the appointed time during the whole of time. Moreover those whom He ELECTED, PREDESTINED, and CALLED, He also JUSTIFIED: this means that when Jesus became the sacrificial lamb, His blood bought the elect's sin, and they were/are redeemed forever (It is Finished!). Moreover those whom the Father ELECTED, PREDESTINED, CALLED, and JUSTIFIED, He also has already GLORIFIED: meaning that when Jesus returns to claim what is rightfully His, then shall we - the ELECT - appear with Him: 31When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. 34Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:" [Matthew 25:31-34] The Word of God is true. Jesus was no liar. When Jesus arises to the Throne of God, He shall say to those on His right hand: "COME YE BLESSED OF MY FATHER...INHERIT THE KINGDOM PREPARED FOR YOU FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD!" Because "THE KINGDOM" was "PREPARED FOR YOU", "FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD," you will hear those most wonderful words: "COME YE BLESSED OF MY FATHER!" Notice that He did not state, "Come ye who have accepted Me", or "Come ye who have made the right decision", He is GOING TO SAY.... COME YE WHO ARE BLESSED....OF MY FATHER! We, which are of the ELECT, shall come because we were marked before time began, and the Holy Spirit came to stay with us forever, and His Presence safeguards us; He is the Seal that We were chosen, secured, and shall be saved forevermore: 20For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. 21Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; 22Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. [I Cor 1:20-22] "God has prepared us for this and has given us his Spirit as a guarantee." [2 Cor 5:5] The NEW BIRTH IS SALVATION, you obviously just do not believe it PJ! That is a bunch of scriptures, now find them.. So according to you these people were born again this day. .Ex 14:13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. Posted : 29 Nov, 2011 12:34 PM Mathew 25: 31-46 Is talking about The judgement. Its purpose will be to determine who will be allowed to enter the kingdom. The criterion for judgment will be the kind of treatment sow to the Jewish people during the preceding great tribulation period. The judgement reffer to occurs at the great white thron at the end of the age. No one enters God's kingdom because of his relationship with a certain country but rather his relationship with Jesus Christ. Mathew 25:32 Rewards in the kingdom of heaven are given to those wo serve without thought of reward. There is no hint of merit here, for God gives out of grace, not debt. Manthew 25:34-40 KJV No mention here of Election or Elect!!!!! Relationship to Christ Jesus is a must. :waving: Post Reply

Posted : 29 Nov, 2011 03:27 PM You're right PJ, the NEW Birth IS NOT SALVATION... Salvation is what God did all by Himself through Jesus Christ fior us. The New Birth is the RESULTS of salvation the effects, which results in a person being changed on the inside born again from above by the Holy Spirit of the Living God with a new nature. James Chapter 1:16 Don�t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. 17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. 18 HE CHOSE TO GIVE US BIRTH THROUGH THE WORD OF TRUTH, THAT WE MIGHT BE A KIND OF FIRSTFRUIT OF ALL HE CREATED. James replies: We agree that God chose a people for Himself before the world was made, and you made a lot of good points in your post on this. But I clipped out the statement above because it is not correct. PJ is a member of a pentecostal church. He is also a follower of Charles Finney who was a pelagian heretic. PJ does not pay attention to any systematic theology, and like you is suspicious of Biblical scholarship in general. And you do need to drop the "Counsel of men" because it is a silly statement. Once again though I agree with you that God is sovereign in salvation. Christians who think they are saved because they made a decision are wrong. Eph.2:8,9 says that faith itself is a gift, so that no one can boast, and they deny this and so they THINK they have something to boast about. How sad they won't accept basic teaching of Scripture, just so they can pretend some of the glory that belongs to God, belongs to them. In Christ, James Post Reply

Thats why I accepted his free gift of salvation! You presume a lot of stuff you say things to try to make pentecostals and others look bad!me and the people I go to church with are some of the most humble people I have ever met! You dont seem to know much about humility so your in no position to call PJ or anyone else proud! Know we made a choice to submit is not pride! and we dont think any glory belongs to us! Post Reply
