Such an act is blasphemy pure and simple! None has the Authority to alter the pure Word of the Lord! [Exodus 8: 8-11] There is NO SUCH THING as a "CHRISTIAN" first of all, and then there is NO SUCH THING as a CHRISTIAN SABBATH. Who are YOU, or any man for that matter, to take the Holy Term that the Lord established in the decalogue and rename it?: This is another example of the pure sorcery you are under, Donna! You have been taught, albeit very foolishly from your mother's womb, to do anything to make yourself appear as being important; this is "the love of money, which is the root of all evil". The first one, in case you do not wish to named among his company, to twist the scripture and have it state something other than which was first written, was Satan. You have NO AUTHORITY to alter the original text. "Christian Sabbath"..? That is a term a man decided to create, one day under the influence of Satan, to make himself appear as important. He wanted to take what he recreated, in this case blasphemed, and cause others to grant credit to his name, which is how money is generated. No one has the right to alter the Already Established Word of God! Posted : 4 Dec, 2011 07:23 AM the word sabbath is taken from the hebrew word for seven AWM and our typical first day is monday so our seventh is sunday we arent under the law as you always point out , is it your opinion that God cares if our seventh day is saturday or sunday? be careful dont you remember that these are pegan names for days? We can just as easy have our sabbath on Sunday! God knows our hearts and our heart and spirit has to be right! And I dont think yours is! You are a rebel and God hates rebelion Post Reply

But you are not allowed to alter the Word of God by adding to it, or taking away from it! It is the purity of the Word of God, which has power to bring a man unto life, and no true child of God would for a second raise their hand in thinking to alter the scripture, so get over it! awm Post Reply

We used to use the story of chicken little in children's church, he was always in fear, and we would teach the children that the Holy Spirit would take the chicken out of them. But then of course men have altered the word of God to that truth also, just saying. If'n some people had the Holy Ghost they would Get to know Jesus, and quit all the squacking........ Post Reply

Posted : 4 Dec, 2011 11:39 AM No where is Donnas post did she say that the word of god called it the Christian sabbath, it was just an article and in fact something my pastor addresed after our church service this morning, He said having 2 services every sunday is sometimes stressful and has cause sunday to ba anything but a day of rest he purposed that we have 1 service at 2pm sunday school then church, that way we can sleep in get some lunch and then go to church and not be rushed or sitting there ready to go cause your hungry, he said that Gods word doesnt say we have to be in church twice on sunday that is a tradition that started becasue some churches needed two services becasue they had so many people, we dont have that problem:ROFL: we are a tiney church, anyway the word sabath only means seventh day and I think when the article said "christian sabbath" it just meant the "christian seventh" and the day that we as Christians have our Lords day! the things you say are very legalistic for someone who believes so much in grace Post Reply

He desires to transform us so that we become more and more like Jesus. Let's cooperate with the Spirit by reading God's Word and relying on His power to obey what we learn. God's guidance and help that we need day to day is given to all who believe; The Sprit has sealed us. He's God's guarantee of power that we can receive. The Christian who neglects the Holy Spirit is like a lamp that's not plugged in. :glow: Post Reply
