The Holy spirit will come upon you when you haved received him according to scripture and then you are to speak in tongues as the spirit gives utterance.

Acts 10:44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

Acts 10:45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 10:46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,

Acts 10:47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we

Acts 11:12 And the Spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered into the mans house:

Acts 11:13 And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter;

Acts 11:14 Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.

Acts 11:15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.

Acts 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

Acts 11:17 Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?

Acts 11:18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

When you recieve it you will know, and in my opinion those who claim they "thought they had it" but now they no they didnt probably did have it but they let satan whisper in their ears as so many do and he caused them to doubt and lose faith , and they continued a diolouge with the devil till he convinced them they didnt have it, anytime you let doubt into your spiritual life you are going to lose something, dont even give the devil an ear rebuke him and boot him out the door from the get go! My pastor preached once a message he called 2 voices, it turned into a series than also included 2 masters but 2 voices was so powerful because we must learn to hear them and recognize who is speaking, if we dont know who it is talking to us we may misunderstand and think we are hearing God when its satan! our maybe we think its God but its really our own flesh this is why we must pray, we just did a study on prayer a few months ago, lotsof the world think of prayer as kneeling down before bed for a couple minits asking forgiveness and blessings but when you become spirit filled it is something totaly different it is communion with Him it is magnificant wonderful real time with the Lord when you are speaking to him in praise and worship, O do make requests but not so many as I just want to be there in my special time with him! I when I was filled my prayer time before that was short to the point ansd sometimes hard since then I sometimes have occasion to pray for 2 or 3 hours but my goal is to try to get in at least one hour thats a goal doesnt always happen but Jesus set the example of an hour and thats what I try to do, its such a blessing to spend that time in prayer! sorry I forgot what our subject was:ROFL:

PJ writes:

Gardner:

Of course PJ has 'TWISTED and REWRITTEN' the WORD of YHWH to be 'FITTING' his own twisted understanding of the Word of YHWH.

First i would like to be posting this 'WARNING' from the bokk of Revelation to PJ,and those which want to twist and rewrite the Word of YYHWH.

Rev 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Back to the post.

PJ

The Holy spirit will come upon you when you haved received him according to scripture and then you are to speak in tongues as the spirit gives utterance.

In the following verse of Scripture we read the Word of Yeshua, the only begotten Son of the Father speaks to His disciples.

The Word of YHWH says:

Acts 1:8

(KJV) But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

(KJV+) ButG235 ye shall receiveG2983 power,G1411 after that theG3588 HolyG40 GhostG4151 is comeG1904 uponG1909 you:G5209 andG2532 ye shall beG2071 witnessesG3144 unto meG3427 bothG5037 inG1722 Jerusalem,G2419 andG2532 inG1722 allG3956 Judaea,G2449 andG2532 in Samaria,G4540 andG2532 untoG2193 the uttermost partG2078 of theG3588 earth.G1093

(LITV) but you will receive power, the Holy Spirit coming upon you, and you will be witnesses of Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

(YLT) but ye shall receive power at the coming of the Holy Spirit upon you, and ye shall be witnesses to me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and unto the end of the earth.'

Notice the Holy Spirit comes upon people to 'EMPOWER' them unto the proclaimation of the Gospel,to being 'Witnesses' of Yeshua.

This is exactly what happened during Pentecost.

George you gave a pretty good example of twisting scripture you are trying to explain a spiritual act with your mind which Jesus called carnality and it is enmity with him.

you have made it very clear time and again you are not one to hear the word of God let alone be a doer of the word.
