Those it is your modern day example of the first and second sin we see in the bible: Gen 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? Gen 3:2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: Gen 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: Gen 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. Gen 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. Gen 3:7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. Gen 4:1 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD. Gen 4:2 And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. Gen 4:3 � And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. Gen 4:4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering: Gen 4:5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. Posted : 21 Dec, 2011 12:42 PM PJ all these threads are debates, no one is calling them that , but that is what they are people with differing opinions on a subject discussing and making arguments to support there side of the subject! I am not saying its right or worng but that is most defianly what is going on here most of the time! And some people start threads just for that reason to start an argument which is practicly the same thing as a debate you dont have to yell or say bad things to make an argument for or against something! I personaly like to debate things it stimulates me to learn and dig deeper into a subject! But sometimes I have noticed that some start a thread and you can tell just by the title that is was brought up just to provoke an argument and possibly even to promote strife amongst us. I dont agree with that not intetionaly stiring up the stink! Discusions are ok as lone as people dont get ugly and start name calling and cutting down ! I would like to add that when someone is calling someone names and stuff on here like heritic and hipocrit there is a very good chance that they are speaking to a born again Christain who truly loves the Lord and like I said earlier the things we discuss for the most part are not detrimentel tp salvation, soooooo Jesus said "whatever you do to these you have done to me" WELL that should shed some light on calling people names and stuff!!! What I am hinting at is if you call meor someone else names you are (by proxy) calling the Lord jesus names and when you are cutting me or someone else who loves the Lord down you are doing that to Jesus also!! So if you cant say something nice the SHUT YOUR PORKEY MOUTH PS that last part about name calling ect was not directed at anyone specific Post Reply

Posted : 21 Dec, 2011 03:14 PM Elisha these threds may be debates and many call them debate's It is just another word because they are mainly strife, and christians are to shun strife there are those on here that do not want to hear the word of God, they prefer their own way and they have always been that way on this site. The statement was made that iron sharpens iron and of course that is true but it has nothing to do with the particular post mentioned. The truth is that corrupt comunications afeect good manners. Man is judge for every vain word, faithless statement. In the midst of strife every confusion and evil worketh. Btw the way sand and clay dulls iron, as does hay and stubble. Post Reply

( I Cor. 1:18) The foolishness of God is Wiser than men; and the weakness of God is Stronger than men. (I Cor. 1:25) For other foundations can no man lay than is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Posted : 21 Dec, 2011 05:41 PM Yes PJ I agree many of these threads are started just to stir up strife, I have said that before . and yes we will eventualy begin to look and act like the company we kep , so if iron is the company we keep we will resemble (talk and act like) iron and if the people we associate with and spend time talking to are comprimisers or sinners soon thjat is what we will look like! That is why we are to assemble with the like minded people so we dont get dull Post Reply
