I believe that Jesus is still in the healing business today, however, I am a bit skeptical of the signs and wonders evidenced by some of the charismatic churches. I think we need to be very careful about deception is this area, since the word says that satan can masquerade as an angel of light. Jesus perfomed miracles during his earthly ministry and I do believe he performs miracles today. "Without faith it is impossible to please G-d and the just shall live by faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen." Post Reply

elishabroadway View Profile History	miracles Posted : 27 Dec, 2011 08:33 AM amen shalome, I too am skeptical of some of the things that go on in some churches (even my own) satan sits ona pew in every church and if someone isnt careful they wil be running around decieved about the spirit they think is holy, and even their own flesh and pride will make them do things or decieve them into thinking its God spirit when its only their flesh! I am very leary of some things and displays such as people spitting out messgaes while the preacher is preaching and people that seem to thrive on the manifestaiions of the holy spirit ! seems sometimes some memebrs of my very own congrigation (not mine but the one I am a memebr of) feel like they cant go home or allow the service to end without some sort of manifestation some times they will say something like pastor I think we al need to pray then during the prayer they will start speakinmg a message well it just seems like flesh to me sometimes! Not al the time but sometimes I dont know if this person is decieved by a spirit or her own flesh or maybe I am wrong but I dont know she is a sweet women I love her very much but sometimes her gifts seem to come fromflesh! I want to be very careful speaking about this as it frightens me to say such things and I may be wrong could be satan fooling me! I dont know! I have seemn manifestations of the spirit that I knew were true and genuine but a lot of times I see flesh and it frightens me and I worry about that person I dont alwasy speak in tounges I rarley do it at my church but I do in my own prayer time! But I keep check on myself I would rather hold back and not speak than to give way to my flesh! When I am at home in my pwn prayer time I know I am not doing anything other than speaking to God! at church there is alwasy the possibilty of flesh wanting people to see it and its big spiritly manifestaions! hats what I try to be leary of! Ther is a real thing though and we have to make sure we arent quinching the spirit with our doubts Post Reply

I also do not like to judge the spiritual gifts, however believe it is more important to show respect and honor to my lord (could not capitalize, on mobile). The word says we should please g-d vs pleasing man. As a false prophet i was worthy of stoning in old testament thats how serious it is to speaking for the lord. I pray to not repeat the mistakes i have made in the past or bring dishonor to his name. Post Reply
