Posted : 29 Dec, 2011 06:48 AM Luke 14:26-28 Discipleship requires totally commitment to Christ, sacrifice, and faithfulness. Disciples are learners who are subject to their master, they follow his teaching, practice what they learn and take on His character. Disciples are disciplined, they become examples, believers and become witnesses. DISCIPLES ARE DOERS OF THE WORD. CHRISTIANS: Most Christians are church goers, listeners of the word, readers of the word, preachers of the word, teachers of the word, but they are listerners and not doers of the word. They want to be like Christ but they don't want to pay the price. James 1:22, "But prove yourselves doers of the word not merely hearers who delude themselves". What do you say?. Post Reply

Posted : 29 Dec, 2011 09:49 AM Welcome to the biblcial section of the fourm!:applause:.. good post Scott.. and you're right, many who call themselves Christians should be followers as disciples of God's word, but they are not. and there are many who call themselves disciples who are followers at a distances as some did with with Jesus during His earthly ministry...lukewarm But then, there are those who are both called by His name Christians and are truly disciples all in one big package, because they obey God''s word and follow Him according to His word in obedience, they are doers... I am called by His name and truely a disciple, I obey God''s word, with His help! I am a doer. Unfortunately, there are Many Christians on these Christian dates sites. Speaking from experience, I have met several from other Christian sites and you would Not believe the character of some of these Men. YEEEEEEEEK!!!
