The first example of the chruch worshipping in accordance to this scripture is in Act's :

Acts 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

Acts 2:2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

Acts 2:3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

To worship in Spirit one must always look into the word of God for every answer:

The word of God is Spirit

Man is a Spirit and When born again will worship God out of his spirit.

True worship will always come from the spirit of man.

When they where all gathered together as in the upper room you can believe there was somone leading the people, as they where led by the Holy Spirit.

In truth will be according to the word of God.

Hab 3:19 The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.

Isa 38:20 The LORD was ready to save me: therefore we will sing my songs to the stringed instruments all the days of our life in the house of the LORD.

Ps 150:4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.

It is often mentioned as a gathering of the saint's by this context but is not usually according to the truth:

1Co 14:26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.

This statement is made of those that where walking in Agreement with Acts 2:4 and had received the word of God.

The same is true of:

Eph 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

Eph 5::19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

Eph 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

This is only applicable to those that have received The Holy Ghost as in Acts 2:4 The first mention of being filled is in Acts ch 2
