The believers gathered together and began the meeting with singing. The singing was a capella. A Christian sister began the meeting by starting a song. And everyone sang with her. Then prayers were offered spontaneously one by one. Then a brother in Christ started another song. By this time, everyone was standing together. More prayers were offered. More songs were sung. During the singing, different ones would share short exhortations based upon the lyrics of the songs. The word moving doesnt quite say it. There was no song leader present. All were participating in offering praises to God freely and spontaneously. After they sang for a time, everyone sat down. And immediately a sister stood up and began sharing. She spoke about how she had found Christ as her living water during the week. She read a few verses out of John 4. As she began to share from the text, two other sisters interrupted her and shared insights out of their own experience from the same passage and the same theme. Yet what they shared of Christ was different. When the first sister was finished, a brother stood up and began to speak. He also talked about the Lord as living water, but he spoke from a passage in Revelation 22. He spoke for several minutes, and then a sister stood up and began adding to what he had shared. This went on for over an hour. One by one, without pauses, brothers and sisters in Christ stood up and shared out of their spiritual experience of the Lord Jesus Christ. They all revealed Him as living water. Some shared poems, others shared songs, others shared stories, others shared from Scripture, others offered prayers. The incredible thing was that no one was leading this gathering. No one was facilitating,g, either. (No human being, that is.) And it was incredibly Christ-centered. The meeting finally wound down and someone stood up and began a song. The rest of the church stood up and joined in. As they sang, I slipped out of the room. Only a few people noticed me. When I met with the church the following week, I divulged to them that I had been present. The church had prepared for this gathering. They had broken up into pairs and pursued the Lord together during the week in preparation for the meeting. The result was a corporate explosion of spiritual life that displayed the Lord Jesus Christ through His every-membered body.

Do you get this in your one hour church service or do you get to sit and listen to a sermon every Sunday?

Just out of curiousity, when do you get a chance to have this experience during the week?

This is the opinion's of men not know what it is to worship in spirit and truth.

No one can worship as they are called to without the Holy Spirit.

no one will ever walk in the truth as he is in the truth when that same person has rejected the gift of The father, The gift of The Holy Ghost.

Thanks for your input, PJ. It was very insightful.

By the way, I've been noticing by time stamps on your topics and posts that you've been on since 5am this morning and was wondering if you've had anytime to devote to communing with Christ in between the posts you made, brother. I'd hate to think that you've been spending more time in the forums than spending more time in the Word.

Out of curiosity, brother Phil. How is your prayer life? You've you been doing with talking to our Heavenly Father lately, bro?

It is wonderful to spend all of you waking moments on Him and His Word. Isn't it, brother?

our church servies last at least an hour but usualy at least 2 not including sunday school, so sunday morning service sunday school included is actuly usual at least 3 hours and and we have sunday school at 2pm not that it matters what time but we dont do everything by the traditions of men 2pm is what works better for us as a body! and yes we do get to experience that as I have said before yet of corse nobody heard that we ay shiloh ministries have testimonys and words for the Lord and scripture readings at every service and I have said a trilion times hat we can anyone of us get up and sing any given day whatever song we want to sing, no planning no asking just hey I want to share a song and that it ! When we have our song service we are encourgaed as a congrigation to pick out what hyms we sing and if we have a special song we want to sing whether it be a hyme or something else like a song on a cd or whatever we can do it, I sing all the time! Sometimes the pastor or his wife or someone else will ask me to sing they say I am anointed to sing that the Lord has given me a gift nd they love to hear me sing, and so I will if they ask me to but most of the time I just feel led to and I will jump up during the song service and give them my music and I will sing it! But I have many times just wanted to share something and I have , I did share what I still feel like was a revealtion about our mansions one night, but one of the older gentelmen in the church didnt like it:ROFL: He said no way it was our new bodies but I am convinced of it! What do we need wioth a masion? really?

Our body is our house so our new body will be our mansion, and I have said before about that unclean spirit in mathew when Jesus told that story he said the spirit said "I will go back to my old HOUSE"!!! anyway thats off the subject

My point is this, if my pastor didnt get up and preach (which he doesnt every service sometimes he dont preach at all)

but if he didnt get up and preach then there would be absolutly no difference in the church I attend and what you have desribed! And the fact that you think everyone watches a clock in churc just goes to show that you dont really know because I assure you I have never ever been in a full gospel or pentecostal meetinmg that cared anything about the time!

Back a long time ago the pentecostals and hollieness were knows for "all night prayer meetings" Boy I wish thats the way it stil was, someone has a need say a chil is sick or something and you go to the church house and pray and seek God and you stay there until HE answers no matter how long it takes! I know for sure we at my church dont pay attention to time, on wed nightgs I get off work at 6 and church starts at 630 I have to change clothes and get ther I am almost always layem but it is nothing unusual for service to start at 630 and we dont get done till 930 or after thats our bible study night and prayer meeting, we do in depth bible studdies and pray for people those that are ter and oters that ae not there, unsaved family members and sick brothers and sisterd!

and I know you asked PJ but I wll answer for myself, I pray for one hour every day, I also read a chapter twice a day. now thats a minimum I have made that a guid line but I have been in prayer for up to 3 and 1/2 hours maybe 4 yes thats a long time to pray but being able to ust be there focusing on nothing but the Lord, now I pray before work but thats not my prayer time as i dont like to ruch prayer time, so I get up and pray for a little while before I go to work sometimes I pray at my lunch break, but at night before bed I pray my real prayer time where I really spend time focusin on him! Zthis is something we must do and it someting I want to do!

I would suggest that anyone who just gets down and says a little now I lay me down to sleep tupr prayer to try to pray for at the very least and hour a day, if everyone would do that for a while they will have a much deeper love and understanding for and of him:applause:

When you have The Holy Spirit you can pray all day it is not hard.

If I did not open the book for a year, I could expose you every day of the week.

Now that is not to say anyone can not afford to not be in the word and the Spirit, but you are very limited without the Holy Ghost.

Now if you are really interested you could ask the lord, he will tell you, the question is will you listen.

I have obviously been in the word long enough to know what the heart of man is and what his mind is.

You can not walk with God either out of your mind.

If you will repent for your unbelief and ask for the gift of the Holy ghost he will be merciful to you and then you can start all over and then you will get a taste of the true worshippers.

When anyone has given to operating in the carnal realm it would not do much good for all that one will hear will be carnal.

Elisha, that seems like a descent gathering that your church has. Now compare that setting to the rest of the gatherings that happen today and tell me if your gathering is something that goes on in all other churches. You think yours would be considered as a normal one?

Felipe, Bro so what are you trying to say that you don't have one and trying to spiritualize your answer of no?

Ok. I got it then. Yo need not say any more, carnal.

I see you are not done with your tirade of rhetorical, rambunctious, rant, bro. You know one person who paid attention to you could pretty much assume that the same relationship you have with the Lord is the same you have with others - non existent and argumentative. I'm sure your brethren won't see it that way, but as they say tongues of a stutterer usually flap together.

Hey Sal:

You had described the Fellowship i had in Filthadelphia,PA.

After the meeting people went to one anothers residence and ate and spent time with one another.

During the meeting at some point Needs were addressed, and people made their needs known to the body.

This gives others the oppotunity to be used of YHWH in the lives of others.

Also people are encourages as the ABBA provides for these needs, through His people.

It is encouraging to see in the body the talent, skills and abilities others have.

Yet these are not utilized as they should be,seeing that the people meeting for one hour do not have a voice to be heard.

Shalom

Farmer / George

Agapeton and George there is no argument to loving the lord and marking those that try to proclaim another Gospel.

Brother George,

How goes it?

I agree. There has to a point where the sharing does include conveying one's needs because that is when the gifts can be utilized by the body to edify each other. That is the whole purpose of gathering together. To let Christ dwell amongst us and direct us to admonish, strengthen, teach, and to love one another while glorifying Him through His Spirit.

That is when you know that the Spirit is at work in His Body. I'm glad that we are like minded and worship the same Lord, brother. It is a pleasure to share the same love that was bestowed freely upon me with such as you.

May Christ make himself manifest to you in your life and may your life be the evidence that you are manifest in Him.

Sal
