For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey Not the gospel of God?

I Peter 4: 17

kjv

note: If God brings judgements on His own people, how much more serious will the judgement be that He will bring on Unbelievers!

angel you do not understand the Scripture you posted, beside that the KJV is a bad translation concerning that Scripture.

Here are two better translations. The Literal, and Youngs

1 Peter 4:17

(KJV) For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

(KJV+) ForG3754 theG3588 timeG2540 is come that judgmentG2917 must beginG756 atG575 theG3588 houseG3624 of God:G2316 andG1161 ifG1487 it firstG4412 begin atG575 us,G2257 whatG5101 shall theG3588 endG5056 be of them that obey notG544 theG3588 gospelG2098 of God?G2316

(LITV) Because the time has come to begin the judgment from the house of God; and if firstly from us, what will be the end of the ones disobeying the gospel of God?

(YLT) because it is the time of the beginning of the judgment from the house of God, and if first from us, what the end of those disobedient to the good news of God?

YHWH does not JUDGE the believers as He will judge the Unbelievers,as Yeshua had taken the judgement of the believers upon Himself.

God cannot reveal anything to us if we don't have His Spirit. But our Insensible thinking will end immediately once His resurrection Life has its way with Us.

George, WHO TOLD YOU THAT gOD WILL NOT JUDGE HIS PEOPLE/BELIEVERS? Where is that in scripture?

So are you a self-righteous maoralist? Hear what Gpd says you thinking that no one knows anything about Jesus the Chirst but you... how silly can that thought be?... Therefore,YOU GEORGE, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. Now we know that Gods judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. So when you, a mere human being, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape Gods judgment? Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that Gods kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?

But because of your stubbornness and your UNREPENTANT HEART , you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of Gods wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. God will repay each person according to what they have done. To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, GOD will give eternal life. But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger. There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile; but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For God does not show favoritism.

All who sin apart from the law (gospel) will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law. For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in Gods sight, but it is those who obey the law (gospel) who will be declared righteous. (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law (gospel), do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law. They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them.) This will take place on the day when God judges peoples secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares.

Let God be true, and every human being a liar... for God will judge the saint and the sinner. What shall we conclude then? Do we have any advantage? Not at all! For we have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under the power of sin. As it is written: There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit. The poison of vipers is on their lips. Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way of peace they do not know. There is no fear of God before their eyes.

Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. Therefore no one will be declared righteous in Gods sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.

For we will ALL stand before Gods judgment seat. It is written: As surely as I live, says the Lord, every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God. So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

THIS IS THE WORD OF GOD, FROM THE MOUTH OF GOD, FOR GEORGE AND ALL THE PEOPLE OF GOD!

And YES! the JUDGMENT OF GOD will start at the house of God. Which measn God will judge those who are called by His name, who have the truth of His gospel, becasue we are suppose to live according to this manuel( BIBLE) that He has left for us, and many are not doing so.

His principle of not showing favortism stands... as Paul says in I Corinthians chapter 5, how can God even began to judge the sins of those in the world without first judging the sins of those who profess and confess that they belong to Christ in the church?

This is the same principle and word God gives out about a person judging others in theirsin, when you yourself are in sin. As Jesus say get the og out your own eye before you try to get the splinter out of another person's eye.

Ella says, Sweap around your own front door before you go talking about what someone else should do about their front door.

Therefore, God must do according to what He teaches us otherwise, How can God fairly judge the world of their sins, fully knowing that there are belivers who are in His house claiming to be born again of His Holy Spirit and Son, and yet are in sin?

Therefore, GOD MUST start in His OWN HOUSE CLEANING FIRST, before He can judge the world of their unrighteousness before Him.

To pearl1985

Please do not listen to these three women, for they want to be under the judgement of YHWH which Yeshua had borne at Calvary.

To you three women that are under JUDGEMENT,when will you trust Yeshua to be saving you from the Wrath / Judgement of YHWH against your SINS.

I guess this is what happens when you think that you can repent of sin before trusting Yeshua to save you.
