I don�t think any Christians will argue that to be a Christian we must believe in Jesus Christ and the gospel He brought into the world. The good news of God�s plan for redemption of fallen mankind through the blood of His Son Jesus is a gospel of the heart and not of the intellect. Man has built religion that has turned believing in Jesus into a verbal ascent (sinners prayer) and has cut out all the implications and requirements for a sincere change of heart. Without a true heartfelt belief in the gospel of Jesus Christ, there is no saving faith. The harlot church of Babylon does not teach the heart gospel. The harlot system inspires �religion� that keeps its members in the world and simply adds Jesus to the cup that she drinks. This wine is spiritual poison and has brought drunkenness and blindness (delusion) to the multitudes that call themselves Christians.
The horrible truth about the apostasy of these last days is that the very people that professing Christians look to for their guidance on spiritual matters are actually teaching unbelief and rebellion to God�s word. Religion has indeed ensnared the multitudes with its appealing deception that makes lots of room (allows) for worldly living and fleshly indulgences in following Jesus. But this (false gospel) is contrary to God�s commandments and leaves such followers with a false peace and security about their right standing with the Lord. Blind men are seducing the blind straight into the pits of hell along a broad and crowded road that ultimately leads to destruction.
2 Timothy 3:13 - But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived
The light of the gospel has dimmed and continues to darken in Babylon. The mixing and accommodation of worldly practices and acceptance of ungodly living inside Christianity has blurred the distinction between the professing church and the world. Men have christianized worldly things and behaviors and think they are doing God a service. �Anything is okay so long as it has a little Jesus in it or on it� men rationalize. These labels and forms of godliness miss the point of the gospel. Those in the harlot institutions are now under the strong delusion, it is not some future event, it is already here. This explains why despite the best efforts of many to share the true gospel with the those in the harlot church, they remain asleep and drunk with the wine of abominations served by the great w h o r e. When confronted with the truth, those under delusion will typically seek out others of like mind or run to the local religious pillars and let their vote determine their acceptance of the new light.
Without the Spirit of God there can be no understanding of the truth. Flesh will always be opposed to the things of the Spirit and the true gospel is therefore rejected and the deceived remain in darkness to their many apostasies. They simply don�t know what they don�t know and are the foolish virgins spoken about of the end times.
1 Corinthians 2:14 But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised
I have come to realize how few really are Born Again and have the eyes to see the truth that I and many that now fellowship with me also see. My last post spoke about the �little flock� as Jesus called His Church. God�s intention was never to have church be about BIG numbers, He was always calling a peculiar people who would be set off and separated from the multitudes. There is no boasting in my statements, it is the truth and my prayer is more will receive the unmerited grace that has led many but relatively few to know the True Shepherd. Just like the Jewish believers of 2,000 years ago, these modern-day believers cannot receive the truth of God�s word until they repent with a sincere change of heart.
John 8:43-44 Why do you not understand My speech? Because (you are not able to listen) to My word. You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do.
We all at one time were children of the devil, born into this world that is Satan�s domain. We must be Born Again into the family of the Lord. All Christians will claim they believe just like these Jews did that Jesus was speaking with. Yet most continue to deny Jesus Christ in thought, word and deeds despite being nice and doing many good deeds. Like all of us in our former ignorance, they laugh at the same ungodly jokes, speak both blessings and curses out of the same mouth and practice sin in constant pursuit of their fleshly lusts. They walk, talk and act just like those in the world, because they are still of the world. They are not Born Again and have not yet been transformed into a new creation. They imagine they are because they are told being Born Again is automatic to saying one simply believes in Jesus Christ in their intellect. But they don�t realize the believing must be deep in one�s heart and not just words or outward appearances.
A good litmus test, that scares the daylights out of me is measuring oneself against this yardstick of Scripture. This verse is simply cut out of the gospel taught in the harlot churches as teaching on this section of Galatians would not be good for the numbers or as Milton Green would say, the �nickels, noses and numbers�.
Galatians 5:24 - those who are Christ�s (have) crucified the flesh with its passions and desires
I have been too soft in my own walk even knowing this truth. I realize now that this was simply a fleshly scheme to justify and (defend holding onto my own ungodly practices.) Flesh does not want to die, it will always seek and invent coverings to justify sin if we let it. What hypocrisy, for which I repent to God and apologize to you my fellow brothers and sisters. I suspect others may have a similar issue and my hope is we will help each other in dying daily to these fleshly lusts. Ironically, my post on (Hypocrite Christians) that I wrote nearly two years ago remains the most widely viewed post on this blog. But make no mistake, (NO hypocrites will enter the kingdom of God,) not even those that profess His name, preach His word, write blogs or do many good deeds. Jesus explained in His parable about the servant that engaged in lustful practices.
Matthew 24:51 He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
The churches of men are full of hypocrites all that profess the Lord with their lips. They are under strong delusion sent by the LORD. They have not eyes to see or even ears to hear the truth. They say they believe but they don�t really. They all say they walk in faith, yet they live and practice rebellion to God�s word. They know not the living God. They have become comfortable with their self exalted position in the service of God. The peace and security they claim will come to a sudden destruction when the last trumpet sounds.
Job 20:5 That the triumphing of the wicked is short, And the joy of the hypocrite is but for a moment
The whisper of time represented by our lives in this body of flesh is just for a moment. Many are fooled by the outward appearances of worldly blessings that many double minded derive great security from. The harlot teaches such evil as the prosperity gospel. If we want to become rich, we had best become poor so we can be rich in heavenly things and buy from Jesus His gold not the worlds. Jesus said the light shines and the rain falls on both the righteous and the wicked alike. Seeing the wicked and worldly prosper is a test of our hearts. Yet God will eventually repay, His judgment does not slumber. He will extract vengeance for His Holy Temples that have been defiled by the practice of spiritual adultery in His house. Those that think God is only love DO NOT know the Lord nor God�s definition of love.
1 John 5:3 � (For this is the love of God,) that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous
Unbelief Is Not Real Faith
Luke 18:8 Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
Jesus asked this rhetorical question that should make us examine ourselves to see if we really believe on Him (have faith). The stoned faced reality is that there is little true faith out there in Christian circles. Despite all the growth of churches and access to teachings about God in the past generation, both the world and the professing church have become more evil and more dark. Sin and lawlessness has definitely increased and what once would have been a horror to most christians is simply accepted as a maturing of society and christianity. The acceptance, tolerance and even promotion of sinful practices and participation with the world�s activities is appalling. The true gospel once entrusted and handed down by the saints is nowhere to be found in Babylon. They teach unbelief and not the unwavering faith that Abraham exhibited.
Romans 4:19-20 Without becoming weak in faith Abraham contemplated his own body, now as good as dead since he was about a hundred years old, and the deadness of Sarah�s womb; 20yet, with respect to the promise of God, he did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God
Abraham beleived that the Lord would raise up a NEW MAN from his own dying self (flesh) and that new man (ISAAC) would become a holy and living sacrifice unto the Lord.
The people under the teachings of the harlot don�t really trust in God. The fact many good deeds get done in the harlot churches obscures the truth of the harlotry that is an abomination to God. Harlots never die to their flesh (old man) and its associated lusts yet claim to be part of the Bride of Christ. They deny the power of God to transform them into a new creation, purifying them from every lawless deed. The harlots make God a liar by claiming to know Him while still practicing sin and wickedness. They foolishly believe they can just put on a label and engage in forms of godliness (going to church, Bible Study, missions, conferences, etc) yet never lose their love of the world and the things in the world. Anyone thinking Jesus shed His blood so we could continue to live a life of sin and pursuit of fleshly lusts does not believe Jesus and His gospel. The gospel is good news indeed, but not to the flesh. Christian harlots are enemies of God yet they think they are serving Him and will come against all who bring the true gospel of repentance to them.
1 John 2:15 - Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him
Unbelief shows itself with a lack of trust in the Lord and His saving grace (power) to change them and sustain them on this earth. Spiritual adulterers will first make provisions for their fleshly lusts and then add Jesus to the mix. Jesus told us to seek Him first and then He will add what we need. Harlots invert the order of seeking and justify it by the religious works they do. This is the same thing the Pharisees did in heaping religious burdens on the people to delude them into thinking they were worshipping God while serving their flesh. Like the original Israelites, all Christians that do this will also be cut off for their unbelief if they fail to repent and put God first in their lives. Yet there is no fear of God in Babylon.
Romans 11:19-20 (Because of unbelief) they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, (but fear.) 21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either.
The gospel says that if we are truly Born Again we will not practice sin. We will hate our sin so much that we will cease from practicing it once we suffer for a little while and trust in the promises given to us by God in the new covenant. These promises include Jesus setting us free from sin. Being free from sin is not speaking about the penalty for sin, which is eternal death, but instead speaks to being free of both the desire and power sin (used to have) in our lives when we did not know God. That is what a pure heart brings, a conversion of who you once were into a child of God that no longer seeks after the ways of the flesh and the world. By this standard of measure, which is God�s plumbline, most professing Christians are not real Christians despite the outward appearances and profession of faith.
The multitudes do not believe Jesus and as a result they have not surrendered their lives to Him. Would you surrender and trust your life to someone you do not believe in? Of course you would not! Many �christian� hearts remain unregenerate and live in the delusion that they can take continued pleasure in sin and serve the Lord nonetheless. The reason they cannot see the true gospel, is because it is only revealed by the Lord to those He gives the eyes to see it.
John 3:3 � Jesus answered and said to him, �Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.�
I hope you can see the kingdom of God right here and right now. We enter His kingdom now when we are Born Again into it and given a new heart and become a totally new man. Most of the outwardly religious remain dead to the Spirit and persist in their former sins. The hardest thing for many of us is to break fellowship and association with ones that call themselves brothers or sisters yet remain bound by the ways of the world. But the truth be told, if we testify for Jesus, His sword will do the dividing automatically. We sow the truth in word and prove it in our deeds and the world will be repelled from us. In fact they will hate you. But we must testify. Far too many of us, have stayed quiet and gone along with the flow of worldly practices and accepted it because it had a Jesus label on it.
As the gospel accounts tell us, Jesus did not work many miracles where unbelief persisted, especially in Nazareth His home town. Unbelief in the power of God and His Mighty Hand defines the apostate Babylon church of these end times. There is no power in such a church which is all driven by emotional experiences and fleshly stimulation and not by the Spirit of the Lord. You may recall the story where the disciples could not cast a demon out of man�s son and Jesus told them they had no power to do such because of their unbelief.
Matthew 17:19-20 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Most of us pray and hope instead of pray and knowing it will be answered by the Lord. It is because we pray and believe not. If we don�t believe Jesus has the power to free us from the power of sin in our lives, then we certainly can�t expect to believe Jesus has the power to heal the sick, cast out a demon or even draw an ungodly loved one into His bosom. James said we pray amiss because we are double minded and we should expect to receive nothing from the Lord in such case.
When professed belief is actually unbelief, the people in the church (never enter into the rest) that is only found in Jesus. They try instead to do many religious works to be justified before God. This toiling will be in vain, one will never enter into and possess the land that God has given to Abraham�s true spiritual descendants.
Hebrews 3:18-19 And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
Hypocrisy
I wanted to end this post with an extra note on the hypocrisy in the walk of most Christians. My own hypocrisy was recently pointed out by some godly men who did not fear to tell a brother he had a log in his eye. They could see clearly as they had previously removed their own beams and were not judging as hypocrites. Their words brought conviction to my heart and exposed the darkness that was hidden deep within me. This is what pride can do to a true follower if we are not careful and wise to the enemies schemes. I suspect there are many other men and women seeking God that that have a similar �Scotoma� (blind spot) in their spiritual eyes to see their own hypocrisy. Now I know why the Lord kept bringing to my attention this verse in Paul�s letter to Timothy.
2 Timothy 2:20-21 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 21If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master�s use, and prepared unto every good work.
If we do not separate and cleanse ourselves from the world and its lusts, God cannot use us for His noble purposes. When we compromise and live like the world lives, (our testimony has no power and does not bear fruit for the kingdom of God that lasts.) A lip based profession of belief is no better than the demons that also believe in the identity of Jesus Christ. We overcome by our testimony and if we don�t have one, we won�t overcome the world and endure until the end. Our work for God will also not bear fruit as the testimony of a double minded man is not a proper witness unto the Lord and will not reap the harvest in God�s field. Judging by the outside in the flesh, some may wish to argue with me, yet all this harlot religion sows is the seeds of a tare. The tares will look just like the true wheat (God�s harvest) yet in the end the tares will be identified as the unrighteous and will be gathered and cast into the fire. Creating tares is not lasting fruit.
Matthew 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
The harlot church and the religious people of today are toiling in vain to build and grow what they see as the church. Babylon builds buildings to hold the expanding commingling of the world with the people of God. Yet all the while Jesus is building His church by calling them out of the world and separating (a peculiar people) unto Himself. Those that belong to Jesus will come out when called by the Spirit to flee from Babylon. When one comes out, you will be accused of being an oddball, a recluse and will be demonized by many. Rejoice and jump for joy for this is a sign of your salvation.
1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.
