Many people think that God is complex, divisible in His divine nature, and the Word is confusing and compund. But this is not true. God is neither complex, compound or divisible.
He and His word are simple to understand when we surrender our so-called wisdom and knowledge and understadning and pride and allow His Holy Spirit to REVEAL Himself and His word to us.
There comes a point in time when we must give up our pride of what we THINK we have, for what God KNOWS HE HAS FOR US. We are to learn about Him and comes into His knowledge, wisdom, and understanoing of His personality and character and His Word of Truth, whether it exposes us or not, and wheteher it feels good or not to our egos.
Jesus even taught us that we are to come before God as an innocent child if we are to be convertec and receive the gospel enclosed in God's spiritual wisdom, knowledge and undertsanding.
I once read: "Although God and HIs Word may seem easy to understand, this does not mean that it is easy to understand all that is to be known about God or His word becasue sin has limiting effects upon human understanding, and man's understanding is finite, wherein God is infinite."
When God's word exposes who we are, and who we are not in character, this offends us, and we tend to read only but certain passages that speak kindly of us, and brings us comfort. But the Truth of who we are, and who we are not is what sets us free in Christ, and He is not a man that He should lie.
Therefore, this proves we have lied to ourselves thinking we have the know all about our limited wisdom , knowledge and understanding of God and His word of Truth.
Humility to receive what God has for us is the only way to receiving Hids Word of Truth in all things.
