Posted : 21 Feb, 2012 07:07 AM Good question Scot:applause: I think too much time is spent preahcing the theology of the Bible, instead of the Gospel message of the Dopctirne of Christ as the apsotles did, because many who say they are called DON'T KNOW THE DOCTRINE FO CHRIST to apply it to their own lives in order to be able to teach and know the workings of God's word. How can a person teach something he/she has not personally experienced or has clear knowldeg of through study? Its impossible. The word of God is a personal experience in order that one might be a witness. Post Reply

Teaching the deeper things to the unsaved would be of no benefit. I think it's also worthwhile to point out the that verse doesn't condemn preaching on things other than the gospel. So to answer your question...No, the teaching from that scripture does NOT mean we are to only preach the gospel. Post Reply

Posted : 21 Feb, 2012 08:03 AM HOH, you are right the scripture refers to evangelism Jesus reproached the the eleven disciples because of their unbelieve and hardeness of heart, because they had not believed those who had seen Him after he had risen. They were seating around doing nothing after following Jesus for 3 years or more, so he told them to go and tell the world of what they have seen and learnt, so they can win souls for the Kigdom. He used twelve disciples to change the whole world. That is the power of evangelism, that is the power of being a witness for Christ. ET, you are right too, there is no reason spending time sturdying the word of God, if we are not going out tell people what Christ has done in our lives, so we can win souls for Christ. That is the reason weare called to be a witness spreading the good news. Post Reply

Posted : 21 Feb, 2012 03:56 PM Hmm, There is a gospel to the unbeliever: Jn 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: Jn 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. Jn 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Jn 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. Jn 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Jn 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. The majority of the gospel is directed to the church. I believe we have need of to reveal the depth of The gospel If a believer does not what is redemption is he or she does not know the Gospel. Remission of Sins is but a very small segment of the Gospel to the church. Post Reply

We get Wisdom from God by reading and studing his Word/Bible. The Holy Ghost leads us in all truth After that the Holy Ghost has come upon Us after being born again. Post Reply
