Statistics -
90% of the pastors report working between 55 to 75 hours per week.
80% believe pastoral ministry has negatively affected their families. Many pastor's children do not attend church now because of what the church has done to their parents.
95% of pastors do not regularly pray with their spouses.
33% state that being in the ministry is an outright hazard to their family.
75% report significant stress-related crisis at least once in their ministry.
90% feel they are inadequately trained to cope with the ministry demands.
80% of pastors and 84% of their spouses feel unqualified and discouraged as role of pastors.
90% of pastors said the ministry was completely different than what they thought it would be like before they entered the ministry.
50% feel unable to meet the demands of the job.
70% of pastors constantly fight depression.
70% say they have a lower self-image now than when they first started.
70% do not have someone they consider a close friend.
40% report serious conflict with a parishioner at least once a month.
33% confess having involved in inappropriate sexual behavior with someone in the church.

50% of the ministers starting out will not last 5 years. 1 out of every 10 ministers will actually retire as a minister in some form.

80% of spouses feel the pastor is overworked.
80% spouses feel left out and underappreciated by church members.
80% of pastors' spouses wish their spouse would choose a different profession.
66% of church members expect a minister and family to live at a higher moral standard than themselves.
Moral values of a Christian is no different than those who consider themselves as non-Christians.
The average American will tell 23 lies a day.
The profession of �Pastor� is near the bottom of a survey of the most-respected professions, just above �car salesman�.
4,000 new churches begin each year and 7,000 churches close.
Over 1,700 pastors left the ministry every month last year.
Over 1,300 pastors were terminated by the local church each month , many without cause.
Over 3,500 people a day left the church last year. Many denominations report an �empty pulpit crisis�. They cannot find ministers willing to fill positions.
#1 reason pastors leave the ministry � Church people are not willing to go the same direction and goal of the pastor. Pastor's believe God wants them to go in one direction but the people are not willing to follow or change.

1 Timothy 3 - Qualifications for Overseers and Deacons
1 Here is a trustworthy saying: Whoever aspires to be an overseer desires a noble task. 2 Now the overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money.
4 He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full respect. (If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God�s church?) He must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same judgment as the devil. He must also have a good reputation with outsiders, so that he will not fall into disgrace and into the devil�s trap.
8 In the same way, deacons are to be worthy of respect, sincere, not indulging in much wine, and not pursuing dishonest gain. They must keep hold of the deep truths of the faith with a clear conscience. They must first be tested; and then if there is nothing against them, let them serve as deacons.
11 In the same way, the women are to be worthy of respect, not malicious talkers but temperate and trustworthy in everything.
12 A deacon must be faithful to his wife and must manage his children and his household well. Those who have served well gain an excellent standing and great assurance in their faith in Christ Jesus.

Men who say they are Christian, wives get divorced from them for some reasons, then the man goes online Christian sites to look for a Proverbs 31 woman.
What's up with that ?
Men are heads, God should be their head. If that were true then why are the wives not being treated like Christ treated the church?

The lord has not nor will he get in agreement with the work of Satan in this nation, and those that have the eyes fixed upon him and their ears open to his cry will take part in this latter day harvest in America as the former and the latter rain has come together and the tidal wave is coming.

:applause:Donna and PJ... and guesswhat?
Does anyone really believe and think that just because men are not taking their ordained call and responsibility serious as spiritual leaders in the church, that God is worried, and is going to close His church down, or that He is sitting back and wondering what He must do next?
I don't think so, it is never fails that God has not had a ram in the bush, and whether and anyone agrees or likes it, it doesn't matter because God is God, and He would care less what anyone thinks, nor is He sitting around with HIs head hung down wondering which way he should go with His church since men are in disobedient... women are His rams in the bush.
Adam blamed God, its that woman you gave me... but is is the one who allowed his wife to answer the front door of the garden while he sat back watching graden football... but the problem was not with the woman it was with Adam who was not standing up in his postion of authority as he had been ordained, he was too busy doing his own personal things, same as in the church pastors are too busy doing their own things instead of tendign to the flock.
And as we all know men are leaving the church, and as you say Donna because they have themselves polluted the church with homosexuality, adultery, stealing, abortions, and all kinds of sinful mess in God's house, and judgment begans where? In God's own house, He cleans firts.
Just as He told the apsotles, I know how to make people jealous, you go and teach and preach to the Jews, and since the Jews refuse to listen, He told them to go preach to the Gentiles, they'll receive it, and when the Jews get tired of seeing the blessings being given to the Gentiles they will return to me.
Therefore, when men who claim they have been called into ministry and are not doing as they should, yet try to use the scipture to confound woman into submission and they themselves do not submit to God words... when they get tried of trying to figure out God and what He speak with their own theology in disobedience to what is already written, and pollution in God house... and when men who claim to be called by God get tired of seeing women receive the blessings that should be rightfully theirs, and God kick their butts completely out the garden (church)... maybe they will get jealous enough to return back to God in humility and submission, and reclaim their ordianed positions in the church and the home. Otherwise, it is as in Jeremiah women will indeed surround the men in all things, if they don't wake up... this ain't about a game or joke, and time is winding up folks!... that's a word!

BTW, maybe this is why God calls the church His Bride... because when Jesus comes there might now be nothign but women in the church... sum'in to think seroisuly about!...whooopps there it is:yay:

This is in that Frank Viola book i was talking about a few weeks ago. Had I pasted this stuff then, I would have been attacked even more than I am now because of it. Ironically, That Pagan Christianity? book actually tackles why this stuff happens to modern day pastors. It is because the position has been elevated far higher than what it was originally for. The sad thing is that the believers not wanting to do anything is a condition brought on by the pacification of structured sermons and not actually letting the body of Christ fully be the active functioning body parts at a gathering. It can be done though. I've seen it done. Heck, I do it with my fellowship group. See we in Christ, have slowly adopted the world's way of doing things in the church and slowly taken the organic ability for all to contribute through Christ with the gift he has endowed us for one another. It is a sad truth. That is one of the reason why the church as a whole is isn't being effective on the earth. I mean seriously. The Scriptures say that the whole world was being turned upside down by the early church and now it seems the other way around. I believe that once Constentine actually "legalized" Christianity, he slowly revamped it to fit the Roman way of worshiping the Caesars and the church slowly has been decaying ever since. As the Scriptures say, the body without the Spirit is dead (James 2:26).
Kind of makes you wonder if Jesus really was saying that there will be no faith on Earth when he comes (Luke 18:8)

When anyone is under the lord ship of Jesus, you will not hear them continually saying what is wrong with the church, and the role of pastor is out of order, for Jesus himself has appointed Pastor's unto his sheep, and then if whosoever will walk in the light of the word, if your church does not look like the book of Act's you know what is Missing.
