The Promise Of God Are Yes And Amen In Him (Jesus)

A promise is defined as a divine assurance.

All promise are guaranteed by the Lord

Heb 7:22 By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.

2nd Cor 1:20 But as God is true, our word toward you was not yea and nay.

2nd Cor 1:19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea.

2nd Cor 1:20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

This irrevocable promise is to whosoever believeth on him will receive eternal life.

JN 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

JN 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

JN 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

JN 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

JN 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

JN 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

I don't think she was saying the verse was funny. I believe she was referencing the other thread to which ever answer was John 3:16. Of course, I could be wrong.

You are correct Holding for truth.

That is the problem with many denominations today, they hold on to one verse and deny the entire bible. How sad.

It would be more correct to say in denying jn 3:16 you deny the whole bible.

If there was on one verse that is not as it declares then there is not truth.

Agreed and I have given more than one verse. Anyway, what do you want it to agree with? Never does John 3:16 say "everyone can be saved". It only says that "everyone believing will be saved". It makes no mention of how they come to believe. Any other interpretation is adding to scripture.

*** AgreedNot All people will Believe in Christ Jesus nor Accept Him as Messiahlet us read through from verse 15-17shall we

John 3:15-17~

15 That [[[ whosoever believeth ]]] in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that [[[ whosoever believeth ]]] in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; [[[ but that the world through him might be saved. ]]]

*** Verse 17~ but that the world through Him (might) be savedthis (might be saved) is G4982 ~ sozo ~

a) one (from injury or peril)

1) to save a suffering one (from perishing), i.e. one suffering from disease, to make well, heal, restore to health

1) to preserve one who is in danger of destruction, to save or rescue

b) to save in the technical biblical sense

1) negatively

a) to deliver from the penalties of the Messianic judgment

b) to save from the evils which obstruct the reception of the Messianic deliverance

*** I just LOVE to study GODs Word:bouncy:...xo

I love study of the word as well. I'm not understanding your response though. I said the word never says that everyone can believe, only that everyone who believes is saved. It also never says that Jesus died to save everyone. It only says that everyone who believes is saved.
