My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge

Hosea 4:6-8 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I also will forget thy children. As they were multiplied, so they sinned against me: I will change their glory into shame. They feed on the sin of my people, and set their heart on their iniquity. [ASV]

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge

There is a great need to understand, what God is doing, in these last days, so that we will not be caught unaware on that day, because of a lack of Knowledge.

As believers, if we want to go on with the Lord, we have to be open to what the Lord is doing in these last days, or we will be destroyed because we have rejected the knowledge that God has given us, of what He is saying to Gods people.

In order to understand the Christian walk fully as it is revealed to us in the New Testament, we have to look at it in conjunction with the Old Testament and Gods leading and dealings with the children of Israel.

Heb. 10:1 says that the Law is a shadow of good things to come. Also, Col. 2:17 says that the holidays (feasts) and Sabbaths are a shadow of things to come.

The obvious thing to do then, if we want to see what the Things to Come are all about, is to look at the Old Testament dealings of God with His people of Israel which is the shadow. (A shadow gives us a dim outline of the real thing.)

Hosea 2:23 is the wonderful prophetic message from God to include the Gentiles [non-Jews] as His children as recorded also in Romans 9:25 and 1 Peter 2:10. Gentiles are not originally Gods people, but through His mercy and grace, He has provided Jesus Christ, and by faith in Him we are grafted into the tree of His people (Romans 11:11-18). This is an amazing truth about the Church, one that is called a mystery because before Christ, Gods people were considered to be the Jews alone. When Christ came, the Jews were temporarily blinded until the full number of the Gentiles has come in (Romans 11:25).
