How can we not be under the law if jesus didn't

abolish the law? He said he didn't come to abolish

but to fulfill. No temple exist today so its obvious

about excluding temple ceremonial stuff. But,

doesn't the rest apply? scripture says we are

under grace not under the law ....and it goes onto

say god forbid if we do away with the law. So how

does the permit us not to oBserve it. heaven and

earth shall pass away but my words will never

pass away....and so many other scriptures.....I'm

starting to believe that we christians don't want

the truth we just want our cozy comfy pretty

manmade traditions that involve pausing from

this world to drink and eat of vain pagan

traditions and put a christian label on it

I know we can never be perfect and I'm not

saying we should try to be nor am I speaking of

earning righteousness... All I'm saying is after

taking the NT scriptures into account that are

perceived to be on both sides of issue how can we

conclude that the law is done away with? Its

starting to look like a lot of cherry picking if u ask

me. We embrace the ten commandments, and a

few other OT beliefs but ignore the rest of the OT

laws ....why is that? I think we should take

another look at the scriptures and not just

swallow traditional teaching without first

examining it.

You posted elsewhere and I responded there. Now, I am not saying I disagree with you, I am unclear about what you mean when you ask about all the other laws. my response was directed toward that in the forum, "Ask a girl or guy". I appreciate your heart and desire in calling people to examining the Scriptures as it is good to exhort one another unto good works all in the spirit of christian love.

God Instructs His Children and Gods Instructions can be very Detailed. The Instructions for The Arkboth the Ship and the Ark of the Convenant and for The Temple. Many things that God wants us to do or makeGod gave us Explicit Directions and Instructions. There are RitualsDisciplinesPractices that are to be Followed to the Letter.

Why does God want us to be so Exact in the way we do these things? I do not know whyand franklyit is no concern of mine what The Creator of The Universe is thinking about. God wants it that waythat way is the way I do it! If God wants me to stand on one leg and whistle Dixeguess whatIm standing on one leg and

The point I am getting to is this:

Act_6:14 For we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth shall destroy this place and shall change the traditions which Moses delivered unto us.

Traditions have been followed for Centuries before Christ.

Gal_1:14 And I made progress in the Jew's religion above many of my equals in my own nation, being more abundantly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.

Gods Instructions were to be followed exactly as God Instructed.

2Th_2:15 (2:14) Therefore, brethren, stand fast: and hold the traditions, which you have learned, whether by word or by our epistle.

These Traditions were to be Held Fast and handed to Trustworthy Elders.

God left Instructions for us through The Apostlesthrough The Prophets. Through Gods Oral Revelation (when God Speaks to His Prophets) and through God Written Revelation (Scripture). These Instructions are called Traditions (with a Capital Tas opposed to a small (t) for mans traditionssuch as a birthday cake on your birthday etc.). These traditions have been handed down through The Church and have been Followed to this day.

The Problem with Traditions began after The Reformation when man began to alter Traditions without a Mandate from God. And that is where we are today30,000 Different churches all trying to do their bestbut nevertheless changing Traditions.

*** :applause:...Couldn't agree more Arch...see what happens when man/women doing what they believe is thier best to "re-organize"..."re-structure"..."Re-Do" that which is sanctioned and perfected by the Creater for His Glory and our well being...Traditions of man/women have totally over-run the Mandates of GOD!!!...and its a real shame...

May GOD continue to Bless you my brother...xo

The problem is the Catholic church traditions aren't scriptural. They were alterations themselves...so the fact that we have strayed away from Catholic traditions is a good thing.

No man's traditions are biblical.

Who thinks they can exalt themselve's above the word of God and be right?

The truth never changes.

1. You BELIEVE

2. You Do Not Believe

Which group are you in?
