End Time Revival For the Christians on the Broad Way?

The New Testament predicts a falling away from the truth of the Gospel (II Thessalonians 2: 3-4). Matthew 24: 11,

I Timothy 4: 1, II Timothy 3: 13, and II Peter 2: 1 say that many false prophets will arise and deceive Christians.. Luke 13: 21is on the leavening of the Christian church.

Daniel 12: 7 says "And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished."

Revelation 13: 11-18 describes, in metaphoric language, a Second Beast, who has been called the False Prophet, but who represents many false prophets, as shown by several New Testament texts, including Matthew 24: 11, II Peter 2: 1, and I John 4: 1.

And Revelation 13: 2 explains that the dragon gives the First Beast his power, seat and great authority. We can believe that the dragon also gives his power to the Second Beast.

At the Cross Satan was defeated and restrained to some extent. Revelation 20: 1-3 says

"And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 3. And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season."

So, the devil was metaphorically bound and thrown into the bottomless pit at the Cross. But then Revelation 9: 1-3 describes the opening of the bottomless pit, and something called locusts as scorpions came out of the bottomless pit.

At the Cross the devil was restrained so that the Gospel was able to go out to many people. But sometime in the end times that restraint on the devil is released and he goes forth to deceive the people again - and causes those in the churches to follow false prophets and their false doctrines.

This is not a revival, but just the opposite.

The Bible does not spoon feed us. But there are implications from some scriptures that in the very end times a very small group, the Remnant of Israel, will return to the truth of the Gospel.

For example, in the New Testament, Revelation 11, on the Two Witnesses. there will be witnesses to Jesus Christ with the implication that they will become martyrs to Christ. Then in Revelation 12 a metaphoric figure called "The Woman" who gives birth to Christ as the Manchild, is said in verse 17 to have given birth to the remnant who have the testimony of Jesus.

In the Old Testament, Zechariah 13: 8-9 shows, as a broad prophecy, that God will bring one part out of three parts through a fire, will refine them and they will be accepted by him.

"And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God."

Because the Bible does not spoon feed us about what is to happen in the end times, false doctrines have been made up by men describing what is to happen, and somehow claiming to be from God.

It would seem as though you are more fixed on exalting the God of this world.

Is it that you deny the rapture?

Diatribe refers to a nasty or bitter kind of argument against one's position on something.

The dialectic does not always appear on the surface to be nasty or very negative. The goal of the dialectic, though, is to overthrow the authority of God's word, "It is written." The dialectic tries to replace "It is written" by dialogue which involves opinions, "what do you think?" " How do you feel?"

Christian forum discussions and debate often becomes dialectic in nature.

And - the dialectic process is based upon "...the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life." It is based upon the carnal mind which in Mark 7: 21-22 is evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, blasphemy, pride, foolishness."

In other words, the carnal mind is not just about desires as for sex, food, and the like, but is also desires for money, fame, approval, good appearance, and so on. The emerging church and the church growth movement make use of these things to market the Gospel to more people, so the church membership grows.

You could say that appeal to the carnal mind goes along with the dialogue to consensus which is the dialectic method of attitude and belief change.

Thank you halfback...I appreciate you taking time to answer my question and I agree that the Dialetic...(which started in the Garden of Eden by satan)...is a means in which to "re-dirret" so to speak away from the "Written & Spoken" Word...There is so many books...so many internet sites...and so many opinions that unless one is well rooted in the "Word" and "Scripture"...well...we all know what happens and who it is that is doing it...

There is a end time Rivival happening right now in some countries within Churches and Home Churches...and a falling away from some Churches of denominations...I believe it is GOD's will for this to happen as it is written in Scripture and Jesus speaking in the book of Matthew is quite clear on this...xo

Truth is not an opinion and just to make sure we are clear, your response is not thankful.

We Jesus walked upon the earth their where no churches.

Yes He went into people's homes and why wouldn't he.

What has been posted on this forum about the home church movement is in total disregard of The Lord Jesus. and is the work of the enemy.

There is a night and day difference between a church being stated in a home, because if it is a work of the lord it will not be in a home long.

I never post opinion's a work of the flesh and a manifestation of hatred of the lord Carnality...

Intersting response for a Christian.

Is it not arguing when you call the truth an opinion, and when it does not fit in your box.

If you want to honor the lord put him first not the flesh.

Even on this forum, to some extent, there has been evidence of a movement toward the Hebrew Roots, Sacred Name, and Messianic Judaism movements. All these, and the Mormons too, are based on the chosen people teaching.

Dispensationalism has been the dominant movement within the churches for about a hundred years which has promoted Jewish supremacy and the chosen people teaching, that is, the teaching that genetics determines who is the chosen people, contrary to I Peter 2:9.

There has also been some indication that some in these chosen people movements, especially Messianic Judaism, are using the term "remnant." Its hard for the dispensationalists to claim to be the remnant, because they are so numerous. But the messianic Judaism people can claim to be the remnant.

Revelation 7: 4-8 can be used by the Messianic Judaism people to support their claim to be the 144,000. There it lists most of the tribes of Israel, who metaphorically are sealed as the 144,000. Dispensationalism has taken that listing as literal, and the Messianic Judaism people may very well do the same.

So, there very well could be a counterfeit 144,000 looming ahead sometime.

Taking the listing of the tribes of Israel in Revelation 7: 4-8 to be literal physical Israelites who make up the 144,000 ignores what Paul teaches in Romans 2: 28-29, Romans 9: 6-8 and Galatians 4: 25-26. Romans 2: 28-29 says "For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:

29. But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God."

In other words, in the New Testament, a true Jew is one inwardly, in the Spirit, spiritually, and someone who claims to be a true Jew and is not born again in Jesus Christ is a phony. This brings us to Revelation 3: 9 and 2: 9.

Revelation 2; 9, on Christ's message to the Church at Smyrna, says " I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan."

Those who claim to be the true spiritual Jews, but are not, but instead are "...They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God" (Romans 9:8) are said to engage in blasphemy.

And so those who are the children of the flesh, but who mingle the Old and New covenants together as they do in Messianic Judaism, and will claim to be the 144,000 are counterfeits.
