An Interesting Word In Romans 1: 22 - emoranthesan

The Greek word "emoranthesan," translated as

"they became fools" in Romans 1: 22, aorist passive, breaks down to

the Greek μωρός (moros), which means, according to the Analytical

Greek Lexicon Revised, by Harold K. Moulton, p.274 "dull, foolish."

Our word "moron" was coined by psychologists from the Greek μωρός, and

Alfred Binet and the StanfordBinet Intelligence IQ Scale defined the

moron IQ range as being 51-70, superior to "imbecile" (IQ of 26-50)

and even more superior to an "idiot" (IQ of 0-25).

So, a person dumbed down by American education, bad food, toxins in

the water and air plus celebrities in the media (including Christian

ones) might be likened to what happened in Paul's description of the

guys who professed themselves to be wise, but "emoranthesan," i.e.,

"they were made dumb," the passive aorist. The one word "emoranthesan"

means "they received dumbness, (or stupidity).

Since 1956, American Public School education has been increasingly

under the influence of Transformational Marxism from the Frankfurt School

and its allies in psychology and psychiatry. Benjamin Bloom, an educational

psychologist, published the first volume of his educational goal taxonomies in

1956. Every public school teacher has to be certified on the basis of a knowledge

of Bloom's educational goal taxonomies, which is based, as Bloom acknowledges

to some extent, on Theodore W. Adorno and Eric Fromm, both Transformational

Marxists.

Romans 1: 22 is talking about what happens to people who lean to their own understanding, and think they are wise, but in this process of following the flesh, they become dumbed down.

In a more general way, the takeover of American public school education by a type of more stealth Marxism Dean Gotcher has called Transformational Marxism, Americans of the Baby Boomer generation and their offspring have also become dumbed down.

This is because, in part, the paradigm followed by education has been changed by these Marxists posing as psychologists and professors. The older paradigm was didactic, teachers taught facts, much like the word of God used to be taught in the churches, "It is written." It is written is not an opinion, not something to be arrived at by group consensus and by "What do you think, " "what is your opinion," How do you feel about it?" And after the educational paradigm was shifted from the didactic, which could teach people intellectual discipline and to value the truth and to follow absolute morals, to the dialectic, - "lets talk about it" the result was a diminishing of intelligence.
