Scripture is always love and always the revelation of the father to man.
It is always to be accepted, received as the truth, it not of any man's interpretation yesterday or today. Man has no acceptable opinion of the father, to the father, he believes or he does not.14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
Jn 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
Nu 3:17 Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.
Nu 3:18 And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.
Nu 3:19 And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.
The message here is the serpent is a foreshadow of Jesus and when those that looked upon the serpent (the healer) they where healed and lived physically.
Man in the new covenant can look unto Jesus the word and live spiritually and naturally.
This verse declares to us that those that look unto Jesus according to his word in this context and believe will live, receive eternal life.
13-15"No one has ever gone up into the presence of God except the One who came down from that Presence, the Son of Man. In the same way that Moses lifted the serpent in the desert so people could have something to see and then believe, it is necessary for the Son of Man to be lifted upand everyone who looks up to him, trusting and expectant, will gain a real life, eternal life.
Message translation very clear effective communication.
