We are to witness through word and deed. What we say and what we do, shows Gods love leading others to God. We are to live as God a called us to live in his word. Reading God's word and praying will lead us to a true church where we commune with other believers and grow in our walk with God. Post Reply

Posted : 18 Jun, 2012 07:34 AM It always ends and begins with the word of GoD Where the knowledge of God is known on any subject, the faith is available the the individual that will hear the word of God from the heart, (the inner man) and believe the word spoken with the heart, then mix faith with the spoken word and that person will be born again by the word of God. The term saved seems to be very misunderstood this happens when man responds to the word of God as we before mentioned, that person is then delivered from the kingdom of Darkness and the law of sin and death, into the kingdom of God's son and his love under the law of life in Christ Jesus, which this person is then an heir with Jesus Christ and in thus truth you will find the sum total of all of the blessings of God to man. Salvation. People consider the new birth salvation, and the new birth is just the way thru the gate to Jesus and thus an heir of salvation. Post Reply

Posted : 20 Jun, 2012 10:48 PM Salvation is an act of God's grace delivering his people from bondage of sin,condemnation and then giving them eternal life. According to the dictionary meaning, salvation is the act of saving or protecting from harm,risk,loss,destruction....or the state of being saved or protected form harm,destruction... In my discipleship class, i learnt that we can only get saved by receiving Jesus Christ in our hearts and believing in him. The reason here being Jesus Christ is the author of salvation(Hebrews 5:9) . he died to reconcile us to God(1 Peter 3:18) so that we can gain assurance of eternal life(God delivers us from eternal death/destruction) John 5:24 So we are not saved by our own effort but by God's Grace which is the gift of God to us sinners(Ephesians 2:8) :stop:TO NOTE: Saving faith is more than just agreeing to the facts about Jesus Christ . It means turning away from sin and depending on him for salvation. you may agree to the fact that a bridge over a river is safe. But you have not really trusted the bridge until you have stepped out on it and committed your life to it. Faith in Jesus Christ as personal Savior means committing your eternal destiny to him completely. when you do this, you receive God's forgiveness,are saved from punishment for your sins and possess eternal life. read Romans 8:1 And when you accept Jesus and commit yourself to God, you need help(as a human being of course) to live a life pleasing to God and this helps are in this verses; John 14:26, Hebrews 10:24-25, Philippians 4:6-7, Jude 1:24, Acts 20:32...
