PAIN: A GIFT???Posted : 10 Jul, 2012 09:17 AMI read a book by Dr Paul Brand and Philip Yancey "The Gift of Pain" and I really liked it. But now when one goes back to the book of Genesis (ch.3: 16), its a curse. So can we can we really accept Pain as Gift? Please respond with biblical support. |

PAIN: A GIFT???Posted : 11 Jul, 2012 05:54 AMIn most stories in the Bible God shares His anguish with people in a form of intimacy i am still coming to terms with. A good example is Ezekiel. In the first 4 chapters what God makes Ezekiel go through is so much yet very intimate i.e God shares His hurt with Ezekiel in a manner which is unbelievable. |

PAIN: A GIFT???Posted : 11 Jul, 2012 06:47 AMGood reflection Roc. I actually have come to realise and accept PAIN IS A GIFT whether we like it our not. When we are dead there's no pain, so the fact that we have pain is a sign we are alive and immune. People have different views though and I wish to know that. God bless. |

PAIN: A GIFT???Posted : 12 Jul, 2012 05:24 AMLetThis... I think it all depends on how we take it and also our maturity level as christians. PAIN reminds me of Jonathan Edwards' sermon "SINNERS IN THE HANDS OF AN ANGRY GOD." So I think Pain could be a blessing and curse as well... Need to medidate more though. |
