Matthew Henry on the creation of woman in Genesis 2. He writes, the woman was made of a rib out of the side of Adam; not made out of his head to rule over him, nor out of his feet to be trampled upon by him, but out of his side to be equal with him, under his arm to be protected, and near his heart to be beloved. It is beautiful vision of the complementarity of the sexes and the mutual responsibilities within marriage.

the beauty of Hebrew reveals that when Chava was taken from the side the words are

mitzaleotayv ,,,,root word tzela which means to hold up used to reference a tent pole which holds up,,so from here you can see that the responsibility of the woman was to hold the house up after all it is a shared responsibility to keep the house from both man and woman

the next word is vayyisegor

which means to close up, root word sagor to close up , deliver, shut uses are here

Bereshiyt 7:16; Nechemeyah 6:10; Yehoshua 2:7;

Amos 6:8 - deliver; Yeshaeyahu 60:11

the next word is amazing it is basar which is used in the Brit HaChodesh (new testament) as Gospel!! flesh and Gospel are the same concept in Hebrew both show forth

uses in the TaNaK

Breshiyt 6:13, 17:24; Mizmor 40:9, 96:2, 63:1;

Yeshayahu 61:1, 52:7

uses in the new testament

euaggelizo (Gk.) - Luke 8:1; Ephesians 3:8; Hitgalut 14:6

- sarx (Gk.) - Yochanan 3:6, 6:51, 56; Acts 2:17;

Romans 1:3

next word

tacheten-nah

- tachat : under, instead of (see Bereshiyt 1:7)

The gap left as a result of the taking of the rib was replaced with

flesh. i.e. something was removed and replaced with something

else.

This is the meaning of tachat in the Hebrew and its Greek

equivalent in English is anti.

Woman is not formed separately from the dust of the ground, but

from Adam. Each will be dependent upon the other.

So men ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He that

loves his wife loves himself. Ephesians 5:28

BUT wait it gets better!!!

here is the greatest part!!!

if you look at what is going on here, a bride for Adam was taken from his side,,,WHO also takes a bride from the SIDE????? MESSIAH with the piercing of HIS FLESH and the BLOOD that ran out yep you get the bride of YEHOSHUA,,a bride that came from something being taken from the side of the last ADAM!!! hahahah praise YEHOVAH
