Satan's Forces Are Divided Into Two Parts, But the Lord Has One People

Christ in Luke 11:18 says "If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand?"

There are two beasts in Revelation 13. The first beast is identified

as having attributes of the leopard, bear and lion empires, harking

back to Daniel 7. And in verse three there is that head of the first

beast whose deadly wound was healed, which fits the nation of Israel.

The second beast has two horns like a lamb, but speaks like a dragon,

as Satan spoke to Eve in the Garden to deceive her. The second beast

has been called the False Prophet, but its an office not one guy.

I John 4: 3 defines the spirit of anti-Christ as being the rejection of

the Gospel saying that Christ appeared in the flesh. The nation of

Israel in rejection of Christ is of the spirit of anti-Christ.

So, in Revelation 13 the two beasts which get their power from the dragon,

are Satan's spiritual forces divided into two parts, the spirit of anti-Christ

and the False Prophet.

But the kingdom of God is not divided into two parts. Christian Zionism tries to say

it is divided into all Israel, or all physical Israel, i.e. the Jews as one group, and the Christian Zionist

church as the second group. John 10: 16 says "And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd."

Christ has one group of saved people, the Israel of God in Galatians 6: 16.

The False Prophet is cast into the lake of fire

(Revelation 20: 10) and so are Death and Hell (Revelation 20:

14) cast into the lake of fire. Isaiah 28: 15 says "We have made a covenant with Death, and

with Hell are we in agreement."

Christ in Revelation 1; 18 says "I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death."

In Zechariah 13: 8-9 there are two parts in "all the land" which are cut off, while the one part which

belongs to Christ - is the seed of God - is brought through a refining fire after which they call on

the Lord and he accepts them as his people. The two parts belonging to the Dragon are cut off and the one part belonging to Christ is saved. "And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.

9. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God."

One of the two parts of Satan's work

in men to defeat the Gospel of Christ is the spirit of anti-Christ and the second is the False Prophet.

Death is spiritual death in Scripture, and Hell is a place. The use of Death and Hell, with Death usually coming before Hell, (except in Revelation 1; 18) in Scripture almost suggests that Death and Hell are being used as personifications. As persons might be thrown into the lake of fire, in Revelation 20: 14 Death and Hell are said to be cast into the lake of fire.

Rejecting the Gospel message that Christ as fully God appeared on earth in man's flesh leads to spiritual death, as Peter says in Acts 3: 23 every soul who rejects Christ is destroyed from among the people. He is talking here to the Jews, but what he says about being destroyed spiritually by rejecting Christ applies to everyone. However, for our understanding of who and what Israel reborn in Christ is as our identity in Christ, Peter's statement that Jews who rejct Christ are destroyed from among the people is significant. There is only one Israel reborn in Christ, and all who belong to it are saved because they accept Christ.

Jesus dealt with the problem of those who accepted Christ in part but were luke warm and/or had positioned themselves in their beliefs, in their doctrines, in places where he could not know them as being his own.

In Luke 13: 25 he warns "But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out."

"I know you not whence ye are," means he cannot know one as his own where one has positioned himself in his doctrines. And it is the False Prophets who teach false doctrines to those who want to be in and with Christ, so that in those false doctrines Christ cannot know them as his.

Scripture does not contradict itself. This means that Death and Hell have the same meaning throughout Scripture. But what is interesting is that Death and Hell as the two parts of Satan's dominion and forces are also used consistently in the Bible. Can the first beast of Revelation 13 be called Death and the second beast Hell? Is death associated in this division with the spirit of anti-Christ and Hell with the False Prophet?

If we use Isaiah 28: 15-18 applied to Christian Zionism as being in a

covenant with Death and Hell, one of these two is the nation of Israel

and the other is the Christian False prophet. In Revelation 13: 12 the second beast, the False Prophet, causes people to worship the first beast whose deadly wound was healed - or physical Israel and the nation of Israel.

Going back to the Old Covenant shadows (Hebrews 10: 1, Colossians 2: 17) in various forms of apostasy in the last time is Death. Peter in Acts 3: 23 says ever soul which will not hear that prophet, meaning Christ, shall be destroyed. The

spirit of anti-Christ as advocating a return to the Old Covenant and

the worship of the nation of Israel as John Hagee and CUFI do, is

Death spiritually. So, Hell, as the second part of the empire of the

Dragon can be seen as the False Prophet. But the False prophet has two horns,

which can be seen as the nation of Israel, in Talmudic Judaism, and

militant Islam. That division would make Islam Hell and the nation of Israel Death.

But it is not as important to identity who Death and Hell are as the spirit of anti-Christ and the

False Prophet as it is to realize that Satan's forces working to diminish or destroy the Gospel

of Christ are divided into two parts. Following Zechariah 13: 8-9, the two parts of Satan's

dominion will be cut off and the one part - undivided - belonging to Christ, is saved through

purification by a fire. Hebrews 12: 11 says that chastening is at first grievous, but afterward produces

the peaceable fruit of righteousness.
