Bellhop God? Hmmmm.....

There are some among us who refer to God in what they consider a derogatory term when speaking to others whom they consider ignorant Christians. I.e. ; Those of us poor misguided souls who worship a "Bellhop" for a God. At first this was disturbing that a fellow Christian would make jest, mocking a fellow Christians' Faith however......

upon further consideration I've changedmy position and have to agree.

Characteristics of a Bellhop:

1) A Servant:Matthew 20:28just as the Son of Man did not cometobeserved, butto serve, andtogive His life a ransom for many.

2) Carry Burdens:Psalm 68:19Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears ourburden, The God who is our salvation.

3) Shows us to our rooms:John 14:2In My Fathers house are many dwellingplaces; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go toprepareaplacefor you.

Hmmm, I wonder who they liken their God to? The owner of the Hotel; maybe Donald Trump?

Context here is important. By posting these verses to show who your God is, you imply that those who oppose your beliefs on salvation do not agree with those scriptures. Since they do agree with those scriptures, then your post is ultimately meaningless. You've left the context where it was said of you that you serve a bellhop God. Now I'm not saying whether I agree or disagree with that title. I'm just trying to keep us focused here.

Let us stay focused: we are looking at the nature of God as revealed in Scripture; a nature that some make jest of. Sure Scripture reveals other faucets of Gods' nature, however no one is making fun of those, so it is not being discussed here. Apparently there are some, in the name of their superior denomination, who think they can make a mockery out of Jesus humbling himself to become a man to serve us.

Are we focused now?

Again, you are not focused on the context. Jesus who served is not being made fun of. It's simply inaccurate for you to make this claim. Maybe you were just confused. That is excusable, but now you know.

Then perhaps you could explain the context that makes it ok to make fun of the servanthood of God?

Perhaps you could show where God's serveranthood was ever made fun of. Again, this goes back to context which you are choosing to ignore.

Deflect again, don't worry, I will do it for you. *sigh* you acted like you knew all about it a second ago; and now you can't post it to back yourself up?

*rolls eyes*

I know exactly what you were referring to. Maybe you are scared to post it because you are aware that Jesus' severanthood was never being made fun of. These silly games are childish. This is no deflection. Either you can show where His servanthood was made fun of or your post is meaningless and beyond that is a lie.

Ok, I found one, there is more, but this kinda sums it up. Kinda tough using only a IPhone, there you go plain as day.

No here is how simple it is. God says NO ONE comes to him unless the father draws him, MEN are dead in their trespasses and sin, NO ONE searches for God. YOU like to make God your cosmic bellhop and make him be the one grovelling for humans to love him. It is the other way around. God is God, he does what he wills, he saves whom he wants to save, on his own terms so NO ONE can boast, but most can not deal with the fact they have NO part in their salvation and being thankful to an Almighty God of the bible that saves whom HE wills. Just because he loved us first.

First you say I am out of context, then I am not focused, then refuse to back your claim, then accuse me of being scared to post, now that I post you say you don't see it.

And you accuse me of trying to make you look bad? Lol!

Go ahead and back your play and tell us what this means "in context"

"YOU like to make God your cosmic bellhop and make him be the one grovelling for humans to love him."
