Colossians 1: 23-27, Philippians 2: 1-5, and the Call To Come out of Babylon

"If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

24.Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:

25. Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;

26. Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:

27.To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:" Colossians 1: 23-27

Christ in us is the hope of glory.

" If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,

2. Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

3. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

4. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

5. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:" Philippians 2: 1-5

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.

That transformation or metamorphosis (Romans 12: 2), from being in the flesh, leaning to man's own understanding, in being captive to man made doctrines, never able to come to the knowledge of the truth, and resisting the truth (II Timothy 3: 7-8) happens when Christ is in us, so we have the mind of Christ.

In our timeline in which the falling away of II Thessalonians 2: 3-4 and the leavening of the churches (Mathew 13: 31, Luke 13: 18-21) began some decaces ago, when Christ comes to occupy our spirits, minds and hearts, this is a beginning of his Second Appearing (I Corinthians 15: 51-55). When this happens, those who have the mind of Christ began to understand what Revelation 18: 4 means.

"And I heard another voice from heaven saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues." Revelation 18: 4

Revelation 18: 23 explains , among other things, why those who have been indwelt by Christ are called out of Babylon. "And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived."

Revelation 18: 4 calls those in Christ out of the second Babylonian captivity seen in Revelation 17 and 18, which is spiritual captivity to man made false doctrines, because the light of a candle shines no more in Babylon, meaning the light of Christ does not shine there. We can also say that the life or ζωη (z) of John 10: 10 does not exist in spiritual Babylon, "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." Z is spiritual life in Christ, now, and more so in the life to come. Part of that spiritual life is the joy of the Lord in working with his word.

The voice of the bridegroom and of the bride is heard no more in the captivity of spiritual Babylon. So, those in Christ are called out of it.

There is some indication on these Christian forums, and from what others I am in contact with have experienced recently in 2013, that many who claim to be Christians are showing a greater zeal for false doctrines, but that at the same time a few are beginning to have ears to hear something of absolute truth in scripture. Not everyone claiming to the Christian in person to person dialogue shows that usual blank stare when given a bigger Gospel, meanings behind metaphors in scripture, what "non-essential" Bible verses mean, or shown end time Bible prophecies, and some actually ask for more. I have noticed that a small number on Christian forums like my recent posts, including the shorter one above, while in the recent past all I got was the usual dialectic arguments against my posts.

Christ is gathering his people out of the world. Gathering is the opposite of scattering in scripture.

"Then lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and behold four horns.

19. And I said unto the angel that talked with me, What be these? And

he answered me, These are the horns which have scattered Judah,

Israel, and Jerusalem.

20.And the LORD shewed me four carpenters.

21.Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These are

the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his

head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the

Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over the land of Judah to scatter

it." Zechariah 1:18-21

"And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of

the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto

heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a

time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to

scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be

finished. And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord,

what shall be the end of these things?...Many shall be purified, and

made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of

the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand." Daniel

12: 7-8, 10.

Daniel 12: 7 says that when "he" has accomplished to scatter the power

of the holy people, all these things shall be finished. This is talking about

scattering the holy people in the end times.

But scattering in Zechariah 1: 18-21 and in Daniel 12: 7-8, 10 is not so much about

literally scattering over the world those who claim to be the people of God. Scattering is almost

metaphoric, meaning a diminishing of the spiritual power of physical Israel in the Old Covenant time

and spiritual Israel in the New Covenant time.

This scattering as a diminishing of spiritual power occurs because of false doctrines brought into

the people of God by a large number of false prophets.

Jeremiah 23:20-22 says "The anger of the LORD shall not return, until

he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his

heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly.

21.I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to

them, yet they prophesied.

22.But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to

hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way,

and from the evil of their doings."

"Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD,

and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by

their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore

they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD." Jeremiah

23: 32 Lightness is Strong's number 6350, which is said to mean

"frivolity, lightness."

The false teachers are not solid in their knowledge, they do not teach

truth, but teach frivolous things. "And they shall turn away their

ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." II Timothy 4: 4

But God in Isaiah 27: 12 promises that he will gather - not scatter - Israel, those of

his elect (Romans 11: 26, Galatians 6: 16). "And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and ye shall be gathered one by one, O ye children of Israel."
