"For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; The daughter of Babylon is like a threshingfloor, it is time to thresh her: yet a little while, and the time of her harvest shall come.: Jeremiah 51: 33
The tribulation mentioned in Matthew 24: 29, which comes before the time when the sun and moon are darkened, the stars fall from heaven and the heavens shaken, is, metaphorically, the threshing floor of Jeremiah 51: 33?
In the threshing floor, those deceived by the huge number of false prophets of Matthew 24: 11, II Peter 2: 1-3 and Revelation 9: 14-9, are separated from those not deceived, who come to the knowledge of the truth. Those who are deceived by the false prophets and their man made doctrines, are under the indignation of God of Isaiah 26: 20. This is a time after the falling away of II Thessalonians 2: 3-4 begins in the modern timeline. II Thessalonians 2: 3-4 could be seen to also been fulfilled when the Roman Catholic church took over from the early church and went into false doctrines and false practices.
Origen (185 -254 AD) was a Christian theologian, who departed in several ways from the earlier church fathers such as Papias (AD 60-130), Justin Martyr (AD 100-165), Irenaeus (2nd century � 202 AD), Tertullian (c. 160 � 225 AD) and others of this period. Origen can be seen as the forertunner of Augustine and Roman Catholicism.
Origen made use of broad allegory in interpreting Scripture, and
Augustine followed his lead, saying the thousand year reign of Christ
in Revelation 20: 1-8 is an allegory of all the church age. But the terms "premillennialism" and "amillennialism" are deceptive, in that the way the earlier church fathers interpreted scripture and the way those after Origen interpreted it applied not only to Revelation 20: 1-8, but to most of Bible prophecy. Catholics
and traditional Calvinists who are put into the "amillennial category," for example,also say the 144,000 of
Revelation 7 and 14 are merely the saved people of the entire church
age, and not a remnant having the truth in the end time..
Origen was part of the Alexandarian school of the 3rd century, and
was influenced by Greek philosophy, especially Plato,and the Platonist
Philio of Alexandria. Some say that while Origen opposed the
Gnosticism of Alexandria, he also saw value in it.
In Augustine's interpretation of metaphors, visions, and symbols in the
Book of Revelation an event that is predicted to happen in the future
is made into a broad sweeping timeless allegory. In the "Amillennial"
view the sealing by the Lord of the 144,000 right before the "four
winds" are allowed to blow (Revelation 7: 1) is made to represent all
the saved people of all ages. So for Augustine,and Calvin following him,
followers the 144,000 can have no function
during the period Christ called the great tribulation in Matthew 24:
21. In fact, in strict "Amillennialism," there is to be no period of
the tribulation. In Revelation 7: 1 the "four winds of the earth"
represent the tribulation period.
The use of broad sweeping allegorical interpretations of Scripture is
important in the change from the Historical Premillenialism of the
early church fathers to the Amillennialism of Augustine and the
Catholic Church. This is because the allegorical method of Bible
interpretation originated with the Alexandra, Egypt school,
especially in Origen.
The method of
over-allegorizing was applied to much of end time Bible prophecy,
making it into broad timeless teachings. In the Book of Revelation
there are many specific metaphors, such as the serpents and lucust-scorpions
For example, for Origen the seven heads of the dragon of Revelation 17: 7 became the seven deadly
sins. A result of the "amillennialism" of Catholicism and Calvinism was a loss of interest in and
understanding of Bible prophecy.
Yet Origin was a transitional figure between the early church fathers and apostate
Roman Catholicism, which introduced a number of doctrines that are not in scripture, and
to some extent mingled paganism with Christianity. The falling away in the early timeline of can be dated to about the period of 230 AD to 380 AD when the Roman Catholic Church became the state religion of the Roman Empire, and after 380 when the Church continued to develop its false doctrines and rituals.

2 Thess 1:1,6-10: To the *CHURCH* of the Thessalonians�God is just; He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen *WHEN* the Lord Jesus is *REVEALED* from heaven with His pwerful **ANGELS*:angel::angel: {See Matt 24:31 & 25:31}�. He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting *DESTRUCTION* and shut out from the presence of the Lord *ON THE DAY HE COMES* to be glorified in His holy people and to be marveled at among **ALL** those who believed. This includes *YOU* {Church of Thessalonians}, because you believed our testimony to you !!
These inspired Words of God in I Thess 1:1,6-10 absolutely contradict the Historist, Preterist and Pre-Trib positions since in guarantees that the Thessalonian church saints will be resurrected on the *SAME DAY* as all the lost which would of course has to take place on the Last Day of the Great Tribulation.
Matthew 24:29-31 and Matthew 25:31-46 below also completely contradict the Preterist and Pre-Trib positions:
Matthew 24:29-31: Jesus says, �Immediately after the distress of those {1260} days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light and the stars will fall from the sky.� {Luke 21:28 adds �When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.�} Then the nations will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory. And He will send His **ANGELS** :angel::angel:{See Matt 25:31 below and 2 Thess 1:7 above} with a loud {7TH & LAST} *TRUMPET* CALL and they will gather *His elect* from the 4 winds {Mark 13:27b adds:} �from the ends of the earth {Saints on earth} to the ends of the Heavens {Saints in Heaven}!!�
Matthew 25:31-34,41,46: Jesus says, "*WHEN* the Son of Man comes in His glory , and all the **ANGELS**:angel::angel: with Him {See Matthew 24:29-31 & 2 Thess 1:7 above}, He will sit on His throne in heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate the people on from another..He will put the sheep on the right and the goats on His left.
**THEN** the King will say to those on His right, "Come you who are blessed of My Father, take your inheritance, the *KINGDOM* prepared for you!!"
**THEN** He will say to those on His left, 'Depart from Me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
**THEN they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life!!"

Matthew 16:27: Jesus says, "For the Son of Man is going to come in His Father's glory with His **ANGELS*:angel::angel:, and **THEN** He will reward each person according to what he has done!!"
WE ARE ALL WAITING FOR THE NEW EARTH, THE NEW HEAVENS AND THE HEAVENLY NEW JERUSALEM!!
Revelation 21:1-5: Then I saw a New heaven and a New Earth, for the {present} first heaven and first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the **NEW JERUSALEM**, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and He will live with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making **EVERYTHING NEW**!" Then He said, "Write this down, for these words are TRUSTWORTHY and TRUE!"
2 Peter 3:10-13: But the Day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will DISAPPEAR with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and *EVERYTHING* in it will be burned up {NIV}. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you wait eagerly for the Day of God to come. {NIV} That Day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with His promise **WE** {Excluding the Preterists and the RC church} are looking forward to a New heavens and a New Earth, the home of righteousness.
Hebrews 11:13-16: All these people {Abraham, Sarah Isaac, Jacob, Noah etc} were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them from a distance. And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth. People who say such things show they are looking for a country of their own. If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. Instead, they were looking for a BETTER COUNTRY--a HEAVENLY ONE. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a *CITY* (The *NEW JERUSALEM*} for them!!
Galatians 4:25,26: Now Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present city of Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children. But the **JERUSALEM** that is **ABOVE** is free, and she is our MOTHER !!
JESUS WILL WRITE ON US THE NAME OF THE CITY OF GOD THE *NEW JERUSALEM*!!
Revelation 2:18; 3:12,21: Jesus says, "To him who overcomes I will give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it...And I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will he leave it. I will write on him the name of the City of My God, the NEW JERUSALEM, which is coming down out of heaven from My God....And I will give the right to sit with Me on My throne, just as I overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne."
According to Revelation 22:3 the only 2 thrones in the New Jerusalem will be the thrones of the Father and of the Lamb Jesus Christ.
