Hello everyone:
I have been to a few places called the 'church', one thing i hear being spoken about pretty often is this thing called 'tithing'.
I have searched the entire NEW COVENANT, and i cannot find the word 'tithe' or any reference to 'tithing'.
IF therefore 'tithing' cannot be found within the NEW COVENANT are believers required to be 'tithing'.
Where i have found 'tithing' is in the OLD COVENANT,which covenant has been FULFILLED in Messiah;since i happen to be in Yeshua,the 'tithe' has also been FULFILLED for me.
Since the 'tithe' has been fulfilled why do these so called pastors tell the people they need to be keeping the tithing thing, IS that not keeping the sheeple BOUND to the LAW,the LAW which Messiah has set EVERY person free from having to obey.
James says IF a person breaks one point of the LAW,he then breaks the WHOLE law.
John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
My question is this:
WHY do people continue to go back to the OLD COVENANT in order to JUSTIFY the things they want to believe,which cannot be found within the NEW COVENANT.
The NEW COVENANT is not the Old Covenant fulfilled (
Messiah Yeshua fuflilled/ or filled up the entire Old Covenant by His life,death and resurrection ),
The NEW COVENANT is a Covenant which had never existed before to man.This NEW COVENANT exists in the Blood of Messiah Yeshua.
Luk 22:20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the NEW COVENANT in my blood, which is shed for you.

Is tithing biblical, you ask?
That is an interesting response by the reasoning of man you posted.
Is the Word of god biblical, I believe it is.
I have a tough question, was it biblical to breathe under the old covenant?
Was it biblical to pray under the old covenant?
When does God change, according to you he changed his mind under the new covenant, even though his truth is spirit, and alive and abideth forever, nor is it corruptible.
To whom Jesus is lord, tithing is applicable under any covenant.

Hi truth:
I see that you have a habit of AVOIDING giving the Scriptures for the basis of what you believe.
By this i would say that you do not know or understand the Word of GOD,maybe all you have is what men have been telling you and you have been believing their nonsense,which keeps you under the law.
I pity you,as you want to argue with me and others,yet you cannot give any anything Biblical for what you believe.

Mat 23:23 �Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone. 24 Blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel!
In Mat 23:23 Yahshua berates the scribes and Pharisees�notice Yahshua mentions the �weigtier� matters of the �law��which is �Torah��the 1st 5 books of our Holy Bible we have today�and HE who is GOD in the flesh speaks about the very Tithing�Law�Justice�Mercy and Faith that Many want to Ignore and Neglect to this very day�
They have also fallen for and into their own understanding about Tithing and under what is commonly known as the Pauline Teachings of �Liberty� ( I can do what I want and I don�t have to worry about anything )�and�( If its not in the NT its not needed to do )�I say�Really ???...I mean REALLY ????...Where in the Bible does Yahshua say you don�t have to�or where in the Bible does anyone inspired by the Holy Spirit say Not to ???...It aint there�any where�
Some folks believe they can have the New without the OLD�and Truth is�none us would have the NEW if it wasn�t for the OLD...Same as �ya wouldn�t have Christianity without the Hebrew Israel Jew now would we?....
I really do not understand why some folks that come to this site and section always be questioning and trying to reason away what is as plan as bagel without lox and cream cheese�.Yahshua nowhere in the NT says Do Not Tithe�.So why do some folks believe we don�t have to ???...
I�ll tell ya why and some will gladly hear and accept the Word or they will continue to Turn away from it�Because they don�t want to!!!!...They are selfish and self centered and they are still stealing from GOD�the Very YAHWEH of the �Entire Bible��OT and NT�as He doesn�t change�EVER!!!!

6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

This Scripture is about the condition of ones heart while giving ANYTHING.
He which scatters GREEDILY will in turn HARVEST GREEDILY.
The one scattering BLESSINGS will HARVEST BLESSINGS

GOD Almighty is not concerned with how much a person gives,but He is concerned with the motivations and condition with which ones is giving.
Do we give wanting to get something in return, OR do we give looking for nothing, just wanting to meet another persons needs.

*** Really ???...What Covenant do you believe they were under ???...Their own!!!�Do you not read and see here that they were doing a � hearted job�since they were NEGLECTING the WEIGHTIER Matters�Yahshua and HIS ways and Truths NEVER change�and the scribes and Pharisees were called on the carpet so to speak for it and you want to believe it was because Yahshua hadn�t gone to cross yet ???...WOW!!!...I cant and wont even comment on that one...

*** Yes�John the Baptist is under the Old Covenant and paving the way for the LORD�and the one Thief asking Yahshua to remember him when He comes into His Kingdom�he is one of the two thieves to die on the cross�but what it has to do with Tithing and the New Covenant only you know�because the Bible doesn�t say the Thief was the 1st to die under the New Covenant�you are Squishing meaning into the Text�
