HUSBANDS LOVE YOUR WIVES AS CHRIST LOVED THE CHURCH
Ephesians 5:25-33:
"Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for it, that He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that He might present to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that it should be holy and without blemish. So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become on flesh.' This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband." - NKJV
Colossians 3:19, "Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward them." - NKJV
We see here that husbands are to love their wives as Christ loved the church. Jesus went to the cross for the church. He sacrificed His own life for the benefit of the church. This shows the highest form of love. Agape love. It is giving of yourself to benefit another. Jesus showed us how it's done.
All too often men do not love their wives as Christ loved the church. That type of love does not lend it self to beat a wife. To kill a wife. To cheat on a wife. To be demeaning to a wife. To be demanding of a wife.
If Scott Peterson loved his wife as Christ loved the church, Laci would be alive today, along with their child. If husbands would love their wives as Christ loved the church, we never would hear stories like "The Burning Bed."
If husbands loved their wives as Christ loved the church, the divorce rate would not be as high as it is. Many of societies' ills would be diminished. Families would become stronger.
I have seen statistics of how children from a fatherless home more often get into trouble with the law than do children of two parent homes. Today, more than half of the nation's children come from homes where no father is present in the home. All to often, when a girl gets pregnant, the father runs.
So often, men are just little boys in adult male bodies. They need to grow up and become responsible when women and children are involved. It's a little hard for a husband to love his wife, if he doesn't marry the girl he planted his seed in.
Let's face it, many American men are really messed up. Very few have risen above their fleshly lusts. And, those who are married, all too often they act like they're still single.
And, I could go on and on with the problems with the American male. But, he is the reason that society in America is so wicked. It is because American men are wicked, even those that call themselves "Christian." There was a so called preacher, yet the way he treated his wife and children was just plain wicked, which drove his wife to killing him. So many times I've seen or heard reports of married Pastors having affairs with the church secretary. Or a TV evangelist paying women for favors. One who made the news recently is A.B. Schirmer. A womanizer who killed 2 wives because of it.
All this because, men in America do not love their wives as Christ loved the church. And, unfortunately, I don't believe churches teach this.
It's a sad condition in the church when so called Christian husbands do not love their wives as Christ loved the church.

Some of us might ignore the Son of God for months or years, feeling "too busy" or content. They are not going to obey Him. Some of us never thank Him for the good things He has placed in our life. A few of us are living in casual or sinful disobedience, hoping God will ignore our sins (which He won't). Will they be in the Kingdom of God if they say that they are Christians? The answer may be: NO.
"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the Kingdom of Heaven ...
Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied
in your Name, cast out demons in Your Name, and done many wonders in Your name?'
And then, I will declare to them
'I never knew you ... depart from Me
you who practice lawlessness ..."
(Matt 7:21-23)
May people think:
"To believe...... simply means to act as though it is true!!!"..?
WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To believe, is not simply ACTING AS THOUGH THE WORD OF GOD IS TRUE!
To believe, is to have the Word of God become reality in your flesh.
It is not the case where one acts as though it is true, but because it is TRUE, one conducts themselves by its power.
So belief in God, is not the same as trusting upon something. Men trust in the "safety" of buildings everyday, and they collapse upon them. What men "believe" as something, doesn't make it so. You may believe that your daughter will come home at 4:PM, but that doesn't mean she will.
Many people look like Christians, think they are Christians and in reality are not Christians. Do you remember a parable of Jesus about 10 bride mates? Some of them were 'fake' Christians. Or better to say they were NOT PREPARED for the Lord Jesus' return. They all were invited to the Wedding ceremony. One day there will be a Wedding feast and we are all Brides even if you are a man. We all are Brides invited to this Ceremony in the Kingdom of God. But 5 of them were not prepared!!!! They profess their faith and sit in our Churches. They all confess Jesus Christ Lord. You can be in Church and not necessarily you are a Christian!!!
There are people who are not real. We will see more and more people like this!!! They have the form of godliness�.but they continue in sin�But how is it possible? Wedding is so close and they miss it?! The Kingdom of Heaven is so close and they cannot reach it. They are crashed by their sins.
Church is a dangerous place. It is a safe place f you come there with good reasons to worship God, be refreshed, replaced and rebuilt. If you do not respond to the Gospel/Good News of salvation and if you do not obey God and continue to live in your sins and not a godly life even in Church, then the day of your DESTRUCTION is approaching you every second of your life.
Psalm 37: 9
For evil doers shall be cut off; but those who wait on the Lord shall inherit the earth.
The door of salvation could be shut in front you. Why? Are you not prepared to MEET the HOLY God Jesus living and walking with God? Where are you? Are you a foolish bride? We all should be wise brides. Respond in the right way to the word of God. Ponder!
Matthew 25The Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins1�Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, 4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
6 �And at midnight a cry was heard: �Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!� 7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said to the wise, �Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.� 9 But the wise answered, saying, �No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.� 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.
11 �Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, �Lord, Lord, open to us!� 12 But he answered and said, �Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.�
13 �Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.
The Spirit of God takes residence in your heart. And we should live according to God�s ways/laws He leads us to His Kingdom. Surely we all need the extra cruse of oil to receive it from God -the Comforter/Strengthener, our Eternal Supply, the Holy Spirit. We need to live with God. And God should live in us. If we live against God, then HOW are we going to MEET the Holy God? If you prefer to live with your lover..not with God, or stealing money during your financial business operations, then HOW are you going to MEET the Righteous God? He is the Judge and in His Justice He will condemn people to eternal second death in the lake of fire. Who are they? They are criminals/sinners. God said that unrighteous people will not see God! They will NOT inherit the Kingdom of the HOLY God!
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God?
Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers,
nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11
Even liars will not inherit the Kingdom of God!
Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God�s. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Our Citizenship in Heaven
Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern. For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame�who set their mind on earthly things. For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself. Philippians 3:17-21
So here is my question to you: Are you ready for the return of Jesus Christ? Will you be ready to step into eternity? Are your ready to reign with the Creator of the universe Jesus?
