WHO IS THE ANGEL OR MESSENGER WHO GAVE JOHN REVELATION CHAPTERS 10 AND 11??
In the NT the Grrek word �angelos� is used 176 times. 169 times it is translated angel and 6 times it is translated messenger or messengers John is called the messenger of Jesus in Matthew 11:10; Mark 1:2 and Luke 7:27. John's messengers are referred to in Luke 7:24 and the messengers of Jesus in Luke 9:52.
Hebrews 1:1-8: In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through Whom He made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful Word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. So He became as much SUPERIOR TO THE ANGELS as the name He has is superior to theirs. For to which of the angels did God ever say, �You are My Son; today I have become your Father.� ...And again when God brings His firstborn into the world, He says, �Let all God's angels worship Him.�I In speaking of the angels He says, �He makes His angels winds, His servants flames of fire.� Bur about the Son He says �Your throne **O GOD**, will last for ever and ever!�
It is quite obvious that the Messenger who gave John Revelation chapters 10 and 11 is the Lord Jesus and is wrongly translated �angel� in Revelation 10:1,5,7,8,9 and 10. Consider the following:
Revelation 10:1-3 �Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven. He was robed in a cloud, with a rainbow above His head, His FACE was like the SUN and HIS LEGS were like FIERY PILLARS. He was holding a little *SCROLL* which lay open in His hand.He planted His right foot on the sea and His left foot on the land, and He gave a loud shout like the roar of a *LION*. When He shouted, the voices of the 7 thunders spoke.
And Revelation 11:3: �I will give power to **MY** TWO WITNESSES and they will prophesy for 1260 days.
Compare with Revelation 1:15,16: His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace...His face was like the SUN shining in all its brilliance . Revelation 5:5: �See the **LION* of the tribe of Judah has triumphed...He came and took the SCROLL from the right hand of Him who sat on the throne.. they sand a new song: �You are worthy to take the SCROLL and open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation!�
Ezekiel 1:27,28: A brilliant light surrounded Him. Like the appearance of a *RAINBOW in the CLOUDS* on a rainy day, so was the radiance around Him. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord!
Malachi 3:1: �See, I will send My MESSENGER {John the Baptist} who will prepare the way before Me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to His temple; the MESSEGER of the COVENANT {The Lord Jesus}, whom you desire will come!� says the Lord Almighty!
And so the MESSENGER of the COVENANT is the Lord Jesus who gave John Revelation chapters 10 and 11 should be translated �MESSENGER* and not �angel� in Revelation 10:1,5,7,8,9 and 10!

As we have definately shown the Greek Word "ANGELOS" can be translated "angel" or "MESSENGER". And the text shows at least 7 reasons why the Greek word "angelos" in Revelation 10:1,5,7,8,9 and 10 should be translated "Messenger" and not "angel" since the Messenger is definately our Lord Jesus who is far above the angels.

Interesting since Scripture says 3 x
Psa 8:5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.
Heb 2:7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:
Heb 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
*** I don't understand what your point is as to angel or messanger...xo

Revelatio 10:1 can be translated another mighty angel or another Mighty Messenger since the Greek word "angelos" can be translated angel or Messenger and not all MESSENGERS are ANGELS!!
As we have definately shown the Greek Word "ANGELOS" can be translated "angel" or "MESSENGER". And the text shows at least 7 reasons why the Greek word "angelos" in Revelation 10:1,5,7,8,9 and 10 should be translated "Messenger" and not "angel" since the MIGHTY MESSENGER is definately our Lord Jesus who is far above the angels.
