Who or what is a worship leader

Hello everyone:



Can someone please help me,I have been a Believer in Yehsua

over 20 years,have been reading and studying the Word of GOD Almighty almost that long.



What i need is help in finding in the NEW COVENANT where the Word or term ' WORSHIP LEADER ' IS LOCATED,as i have not been able to find this so called title.



Since this title is not in the NEW COVENANT,then where did this title originate from.
