His praise endures forever. � Psalm 111:10 We all know what it is like to be gripped by fear. We all know what the sensation is like to have a shiver run down our spines, our mouths go dry, and our hair stand on end. Fear has a close buddy known as worry, and the two often work in tandem. We can get caught up playing the what-if game: What if this happens? What if that happens? In fact, modern medical research has proved that worry can actually break down our resistance to disease�and even shorten our lives. Charles Mayo, founder of the famed Mayo Clinic, said that while he never knew anyone who died of overwork, he knew many who died of worry. Far too often we are afraid of the wrong things in life, but we aren't afraid of the right things�or perhaps I should say the right One. We don't fear God. Yet the Bible tells us the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. But what does that mean? First, let me tell you what it doesn't mean. To fear God doesn't mean cowering in terror before Him. Rather, the fear of God has been properly defined as a wholesome dread of displeasing Him. So if I have sinned, it is not the fear of what God will do to me but the fear of what I have done to Him. That is what it is to fear the Lord. The remarkable thing about fearing God is that when you fear Him, you fear nothing else. On the other hand, if you don't fear God, then you fear everything else. View Profile History	Healthy Fear Posted : 7 Jul, 2014 01:08 AM A preacher in Saudi Arabia told me the other day: "u shall know them by their fruits...this is what Jesus said 2000 years ago.. ...the bad tree bears bad fruits... a bad tree can't bear a good fruit ...fear the last day when the Lord says I dont know u... Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy ... ...in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, ... 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!' Matthew 7:23 ...only the Lord judge upon ur heart... I cant judge... I only tell u the teachings of the Master... its the words of the Lord! ... sharp than any sword..The Son of God said: But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject ... to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, 'Raca,' is answerable to the court. ...And anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell. I only tell u the words of my Teacher ....only ur FAITH and the HOLYSPIRIT can work u out Wake up - Christ is real + His words are real too... I dont want him on that day to say those words to u ... ...I want him to say: come be blessed. The message of Christ is not about changing others BEFORE changinig urself I have one question friend can I ask? Do u love Jesus? Simple do u love Him - yes-no? Muslims worship Allah but they dont love him. Do u love Jesus? Jesus said: "If you love me, obey my commandments". John 14:15 Do u know what is the 1st commandment of Jesus? And the last one before He left the earth? His last commandment was the Great commission. You want to apply the LAST one and u forgot the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, ... I dont overcome Evil with Evil but I overcome Evil with GOOD! I listen to the commandments and obey them!" :applause: Post Reply
